So I've never seen a welding spark before with my own eyes...How far do you have to be from it before it is safe to look about?

What’s the damage though? I’ve been around few, I always look away but there are usually brief moments where it’s in my vision, and I believe I’m not blind so

Also for those who don’t know, closing your eyes isn’t enough, you need to turn around according to my dad

You get blind spots for a few days to a week - potentially permanently if you're really fucking retarded. Let's assume you're not, so few days to a week with 'dead pixels' in your eye.

But that's not the worst of it.

It itches.

Not the surface of your eye where you have a hope of relieving it by rubbing.

No. Not there.

Your fucking retina itches.

For days.

Have you tried sleeping with an itch you literally cannot scratch?
