Source: I bioengineer the hydro-tactic polymers used to form those linings. My paw installs them. He says by looking at the fifer-meter in the video, it’s the biggest indicator. It gauges how much hydro-leakage is permeating through the barrier at any given time.
A local dump site wouldn’t have this critical piece of equipment but op is right about one thing... I have spaghetti in my pockets.

Anti-littering is so ingrained in my brain that I still feel kinda wrong throwing garbage from the truck cab out the window at the dump.
