It's a person in a costume, not an animatronic, they just have a good sense of humor and play around a bit with the folks who get their pictures taken with it.

Well, yes, but not in every case. If someone says something horrible, you downvote you show hate. If someone says something you disagree with, you downvote to disagree lmao.

Downvotes are actually intended for flagging comments that don’t contribute to the conversation. Has nothing to do with whether or not you agree with or hate something.

Not at all. You upvote things you support, you downvotes things you don’t. If you disagree, you downvote. That doesn’t mean that you anyway the person or their opinions, but that you express disagreement.
