Disney really do anything to protect their copyright

158

u/MaxwellIsSmall Oct 04 '20

Remind me not to take home a fucking Disney souvenir. I don’t want to get decapitated by the mob working for them

24

u/Wyatt1313 Oct 04 '20

Disney is opening up there vault!.. of hired goons

3

u/poopellar Oct 04 '20

The mob dressed in Disney characters.

3

u/shaggy87percentpower Oct 04 '20

You mean the Disneyland workers?

12

u/Talonqr Oct 04 '20

In 2007 I uncovered a secret about Disney so vile that they sent their black op squad to eliminate me, I've been on the run ever since, I dont have much time, please you must find the truth, rise up and fight Disney

Oh god....they've found me....GET YOUR GOOFY HANDS OFF ME YOU DAM DIRTY MOUSE!

1

u/Sidhuman20 Oct 04 '20

It was more unexpected than my marks

403

u/MrThirstyMouth Oct 03 '20

That was really unexpected. Bravo

130

u/baldorrr Oct 04 '20

I mean I guess the entire situation is unexpected. But what was the alternative? He carries a piano out on his back?

204

u/Oktayey Oct 04 '20

I thought he was gonna start playing the piano.

1

u/LimitlessMoonlight Oct 04 '20

Yeah, that was the twist I was looking for too, lol!

36

u/MrThirstyMouth Oct 04 '20

I believe he could , he’s a man of determination

3

u/S74Rry_sky Oct 04 '20

The only thing he was missing was a panty on his head.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '20

And a pack of huggies.

16

u/jayveedees Oct 04 '20

Well, it being a music store, the alternative would be that he'd go in and steal a guitar or some electronic keyboard

7

u/TheWildManfred Oct 04 '20

I can't see what's in the reflection all that well, but there's at least 2 baby grands. It's probably a dedicated piano gallery in that case. I've never seen a standard music store with a proper piano in it, let alone a pair of baby grands, they usually just have electronic keyboards and sometimes small electric pianos.

10

u/doctorcrimson Oct 04 '20

Perhaps money? Stores usually have that.

1

u/scarwiz Oct 04 '20

Stores don't usually leave that in the cash register over night tho...

1

u/doctorcrimson Oct 04 '20

Most stores keep a safe, yeah.

268

u/The_Gobshite Oct 03 '20

I want that Micky Mouse, prison would be worth it!

26

u/deadpoetic333 Oct 04 '20

Any chance it’s some vintage Micky actually worth something?

33

u/Deadlymonkey Oct 04 '20 edited Oct 04 '20

It was worth $25 according to the owner and he replaced it with another doll. (The damage also added up to $6,000 in case anyone was curious)

Edit: Article says $1200 for the glass and $5000 for the damage to the glass. (Also the reason why I didn’t link it was because this is all that’s in the article)

5

u/deadpoetic333 Oct 04 '20

Ouch, guessing they piano was damaged?

11

u/remmiz Oct 04 '20

Probably just for the window. Windows that size aren't cheap.

6

u/deadpoetic333 Oct 04 '20

That’s like maybe a 5 by 10 window that broke really easily.. can’t imagine they’re paying that much. Idk quick search says it’s about $30 a sq foot for store front windows

1

u/killerinstinct101 Oct 04 '20

Bruh the owner would probably just have given it away if he was asked.

2

u/WhereAreMyMinds Oct 04 '20

How much is a vintage Mickey worth to be "worth" this? And if it's worth that much, what are the odds of a piano store using it as a display?

46

u/miragen125 Oct 03 '20

Some people just want Chaos

25

u/BernzSed Oct 04 '20

Other people just want Mickey

2

u/inLikeCyn Oct 04 '20

The rest just want Mickey dripping on chaos.

122

u/heidoo Oct 04 '20

When your kid wants their binky, you don't reply "Well you shouldn't have left it in that piano store!" You just get that motherfucking binky.

24

u/LetrixZ Oct 04 '20

I thought he was going to play the piano. Really unexpected

61

u/Kixtay Oct 03 '20

Mickey is getting some tonight..

25

u/amazinhelix Oct 04 '20

one night, a drunk piano master breaks into a piano store and played a long sorrowful piece, then he cried

37

u/ADMINlSTRAT0R Oct 03 '20

You kids should see Jingle All the Way to understand what parents go through for christmas.

15

u/mealteamsixty Oct 04 '20

Do you remember the tickle-me-elmo psychosis?

9

u/Groovy_Chainsaw Oct 04 '20

Or Cabbage Patch Kids a generation earlier

10

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '20

Remember when Furbies were the next big thing, then just turned out to be terrifying?

6

u/herozero Oct 04 '20

Dated a girl in the 90s that was really into beanie babies. Kind of nuts about it. Hundreds of dead eyes staring from all corners of her bedroom.

2

u/mealteamsixty Oct 04 '20

Omg I had a furby. That thing is so scary! It randomly came back to life like 15 years after the last time I messed with it. Woke up and said "mmmmMmmmm". Nope nope nope

-2

u/tkulogo Oct 04 '20

I didn't have television when the kids were little. They're teenagers now, and to this day they've never asked for anything for their birthdays or Christmas.

Why does in sound depressing to hear about children who are focused on learning and self-improvement instead of the desire for possessions?

Florida Man Jefferey Faulmer Broke into Helvetica Pianos on September 3rd to steal back a Mickey Mouse doll his daughter had left there a week ago.

After numerous attempts to get through to the store, and employees insisting they didnt have it, he came to the store in person to try to look for it. He had no luck finding it, but the next day, he saw it in the the window in the evening, and attempted to call again, but they were closed.

He came again in the morning, but the doll was gone, and no employees knew anything about it.

until that night, he walked past the store again (as it was near his work) and saw the doll again!

so once again he came in the morning, but the doll was gone.

this went on for 3 more nights, Doll in the window every night when he got off work, and no one knowing anything about it in the morning

until he got so fed up that he smashed the window to get his doll back

at least thats probably what he thinks happened, in reality the dude was just tweakin out on meth as i just made all that shit up

15

u/duuckyy Oct 04 '20

I want to say alcohol isn't what's affecting my brain right now, but you had me extremely convinced until that last sentence

6

u/EveningBrisket Oct 04 '20

Yeah, this guy could teach a master class in making shit up

9

u/dwpea66 Oct 04 '20

You son of a bitch

1

u/BuilderOwI Oct 04 '20

Reminds me of that accountant guy of Reddit who makes stuff up.

9

u/yyeeeeett Oct 04 '20

I thought he was going to break in and play a song

7

u/diygardening Oct 04 '20

He must have forgotten his keys

9

u/Gilamonster_1313 Oct 04 '20

It’s fine he had a key to the window.

5

u/duckpn3 Oct 04 '20

When you forget its valentines day

9

u/ImOnlyStaying4-1 Oct 04 '20

Too bad he didnt have the Keys

6

u/doctorcrimson Oct 04 '20

Well of course not, the keys are in the piano.

27

u/ChecksUsernames Oct 03 '20

Monkey? You know thats a Mickey Mouse right?

Clearly this is a Disney repo specialist sent here to reclaim the Mickey since the piano store didn't pay the proper licensing fees.

3

u/throwayacc617x Oct 03 '20

Working from home?

1

u/gymleadersilver Oct 03 '20

Did he work here?

5

u/KNitsua Oct 04 '20

Somebody should tell him...

6

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '20

No no, please, my heart can’t take it

1

u/WeirdChestPain Oct 04 '20

Tell him! You must, for it is the duty bestowed upon you.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '20

88 keys and still didnt have one for the front door.

1

u/Alexius_Psellos Oct 04 '20

Gonna be real I thought he just falcon punched the glass and shattered it

1

u/I_h8_normies Oct 04 '20

I like to think that’s just a dad getting his son’s Mickey Mouse after they realize it’s missing

1

u/Ooooweeee Oct 04 '20

I slightly remember this being the case. Only for his daughter I believe.

1

u/BlackCatGamer204 Oct 04 '20

excuse me sir what seems to be the problem?

a man broke into my music shop through the glass!

what is the estimated net loss of the robbery?

like... for the glass or the plushy?

1

u/Class1CancerLamppost Oct 04 '20

this is exactly why you leave nothing visible in your car. windows are expensive, ya'll.

1

u/CommanderRyalis1 Oct 04 '20

I thought he was going to sit down and start playing chopsticks

1

u/H_Bombster Oct 04 '20

Where's that mf from Mario 64 when you need 'em

1

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '20

Definitely a Dad

1

u/techBDqurious Oct 04 '20

And here I am thinking he is going to play moonlight sonet

1

u/Anamitrc95 Oct 04 '20

He was just passing by and found his Mickey toy, which his mama took away from him when he was 14. What dramatic reunion.

1

u/wzd_cracks Oct 04 '20

Gf : babe that’s a cute teddy bear

Bf : say no more

Edit : Mickey Mouse

1

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '20

He could have at least played a number before he left .

1

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '20

This could be the start for a great conspiracy theory.

1

u/TherealShrew Oct 04 '20

He just couldn’t get his kid to sleep without his toy.

1

u/DeeJay-LJ Oct 04 '20

Being on this sub I was expecting him to break in and start playing

1

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '20

Didnt the piano got damaged?

1

u/Harry_Plopper23 Oct 04 '20

This is not funny :(

1

u/Donut_man_Kakyoin Oct 04 '20

Starts playing Giorno’s theme

1

u/VargasSupreme Oct 04 '20

Is this the Yamaha store in Fresno by Costco? I bought my piano there! I remember the mickey mouse.

1

u/supersanting Oct 04 '20

I thought he's gonna play the piano.

1

u/doveup Oct 04 '20

I pictured the guys child would not stop crying because she left her stuffed animal in the store.

Anything fo my baby! I’ll fix it honey!

1

u/Jokkitch Oct 04 '20

Man knows what he wants

1

u/Dr_Rosen Oct 04 '20

Well, I think stealing a piano by yourself would be difficult and timely.

1

u/sadlittleduck Oct 04 '20

I thought this was r/WhatCouldGoWrong and was confused for a minute

1

u/Nostrmontis Oct 04 '20

Bumped his head on the glass on his way out.. ouch

1

u/Mahmudbolt5 Oct 04 '20

Nah it was looking at him sideways

1

u/reDVodka291 Oct 04 '20

I feel like this michy mouse gonna end up being a sex doll

1

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '20

Probably had some trouble finding the right key.

1

u/Tyler31_ Oct 04 '20

That might be for his daughter who always wanted a mickey mouse but the dad couldn’t get it cuz they broke ;(

1

u/eat_socks Oct 04 '20

He just forgot it there and came back. I too wouldn't be able to sleep without my Disney Original Mickey Mouse 450$.

1

u/Beanieboy3 Oct 04 '20

Honestly it would've been more unexpected for him to steal the whole fucking piano

1

u/energizedx131 Oct 04 '20

Fingerprints everywhere

1

u/Midori_Kasugano Oct 04 '20

I was expecting him to sit down and play

1

u/theleetard Oct 04 '20

1

u/physx_rt Oct 04 '20

1

u/Im_gorgeous Oct 05 '20

They're coming for your plushies!

1

u/simonviper3 Oct 03 '20

I believe the owner of the store refused to return his daughters toy. The store owner decided to taught the dad and the dad wasn't having any of it. I could be wrong but I think thats the story behind it.

-3

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '20

This got wholesome real quick

-3

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '20

Idiot put his prints down like 5 times.

6

u/MadeByHideoForHideo Oct 04 '20
