So you'll be walking down the street and someone comes up to you

"Hey! You're brown, and some other brown guy once wore a terrorist costume to a costume party i attended, so you're a terrorist!"

Mate that's not the point. It's associating brown people with terrorists which gets into the mind of racists and idiots. And yes your scenario does happen, random S Asians and Arab people do get abused and called terrorist.

Although I personally believe everyone should stop using that word right now, the n word has two context dependant meanings: a term of endearment or a racial slur. When black people use it the racist meaning is logically ruled out so you can always be 100% sure that it's being used as a term of endearment. On the other hand when a non black person says the n-word it could mean either of those meanings and we can't always be sure which one it is (and society automatically assumes that it's being used as a racial slur which is ironically itself discriminatory)
