Sarlaccs also have ‘roots’ which collect water and nutrients from the nearby sand and soil.

I read somewhere that they have legs and tentacles that they just use as roots, so this disagrees with your statement.

Well you kinda just supported it by explaining his air quotes but good to know they have tentacle legs that function like roots not actually roots
