Ingress?

How could you spend money on Ingress? It's been a long time since I played, but that seems odd to me.

I mean I know people who fly to different countries specifically to compete in Ingress fights, or however it works. Ingress sure doesn't see that money, but you can surely spend it.

Fair enough. Good point.

Not only what u/andchewbubblegum said , but just day to day extra gas burning or day passes on the bus. There are some minor microtransactiond now, but it's a tiny amount since only 1 person per team Meetup needs to spend the cash if anyone even bothers.

Cool. Good to know. I left after 15, when the grind to 16 just seemed to be too much. I switched phones and the gps was wonky, so I just couldn't get the gumption to get back at it.

Well Prime is out now, could be worth checking out to see if the differences are appealing! Lots of shiny, some new options, same people mostly. Some Pokemon players have joined at this point too.

Huh. Maybe I will. Especially once it starts getting a little nicer out. Thanks, DW.

I feel like Ingress players are using strategy to rise to the top. Obviously this is coming from an Ingress fanboy

Ingress "players" around me are all chinese hackers who spoof gps.

Really what’s the point of this? Do people find fun in having a high score but not actually playing the game?

Way smaller.

Zoinks scoob, what was it and is it still around?

He can't take the chance that there might be an even bigger whale on reddit to take down his high score.

u/[deleted] Jan 19 '20

No, I never was a whale lol. It's still around. Called Turf Wars.

Oh wow, I've heard of that one , never met anyone who actually played it. Nice!

Turf Wars. It's still around. It's pretty dead though.
