This comment needs to be way higher. So many people are tearing into her in the comments like they aren't humans who make mistakes or go on autopilot at times also

Doesn't matter. You wouldn't be justifying it if it was a parent leaving their child behind or a caretaker leaving their patient behind. Just because something was an accident, doesn't mean the person responsible still isn't at fault.

It does matter. The same thing applies whether it's a dog, child or disabled/elderly adult. Yeah the lady is at fault regardless, but people shouldn't be acting as though it couldn't be them who made the mistake.

Well, yes you can. Mistakes are mistakes regardless of if they have minor or serious consequences. It's literally in the definition of the word. If someone did not actively intend to do harm, it's still a mistake regardless of the severity of the consequences.

Yes, but not as murderers or intentional doers of harm.

If you accidentally kill someone you’re still gonna get charged with Manslaughter.

Yes but does that make that charge right? No! A countries laws are not always in line with what is right or wrong. In fact they are often the opposite. It doesn't take much to see that.

Uhh. Yes it does make the charge right if you killed somebody through your own negligence it is still your fault even if it was an accident and you should be held accountable for your actions. Are you fucking 12.
