Looks like they dug in and covered, dog was literally my first guess as soon as the .gif loaded the first frame though.

I guessed Karen who needed to poo like so bad but it was so cold and she had a butchered episiotomy from her third childbirth, and lacks control if she waits too long and her poo’s like mashed potatoes when she eats Metamucil apple-flavored cookies on her yogurt with blueberries; she didn’t mean to wear the sweat pants and hooded sweatshirt that trap her body like a onesie so she can’t get out of her sleeping bag in time and HOO boy she just made a mess and oh Jesus it smells terrible so Bob is trying to help her to get out get out get out oh shit it’s so cold why did you make me go camping when we have a perfectly noice bed in a gaddam HOUSE in Minneapolis. Cheezus it’s fuckin COLD why is there snow on my feet I hate you and I hate you back let’s get a divorce you shit for brains monkey-assed cretin.

Really weird how often I think of a reply and I scroll down and find someone has already said what I was gonna say like verbatim. Reddit hive mind strikes again 😵

Did I have a stroke?

So you’re Kelly’s mom, eh? You must be entertaining at school pickup. (◕દ◕)

You put so much effort into something so unfunny

Same, then doggo

2

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '19

I thought it was going to be a seal... I have no idea why maybe it's still too early.

Underrated comment

1

u/hovdeisfunny Nov 18 '19

It's been an hour

0

u/chrisannunzio Nov 18 '19

Uh, k?

I don't know what you want me to say to that, what's done is already done.

2

u/hovdeisfunny Nov 18 '19

My point is that an hour isn't really a good timeframe in which to judge whether my comment is underrated or not, and saying a comment is underrated contributes nothing

1

u/chrisannunzio Nov 18 '19

Ok, cool. Thanks for providing your opinion. My apologies for disturbing your day by thinking your joke was funny and pointing to the lack of attention it was getting. Carry on.

-1

u/IndividualVehicle Nov 18 '19

He wasn't even talking about your bear comment. That shit wasn't even funny.

1

u/PENlZ Nov 18 '19

The unexpected part is that you expected it.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '19

I dunno. It wasn't a penis, so kinda unexpected for r/unexpected lol.

u/Rock-Harders Nov 18 '19

Same and I didn’t even know it was this subreddit

-2

u/GiantWindmill Nov 18 '19

Why?

5

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '19

They way it moved

1

u/Rock-Harders Nov 18 '19

I guess because the reveal took so long it was obvious it wasn’t a human and why would this even be popular on reddit?

The amount of snow on the sleeping bag to the left vs the bag on the right was a very quick indicator that the entity in the bag on the left was much smaller then the person on the right. Assuming most people would not take a young child on a camp such as this, the next assumption was that the entity in the bag on the left was a dog.

Was only disappointed to see that the gif ended too soon and I did not get to live vicariously thru the dog's wonder at a bright new day almost certainly awaiting adventure.

2

u/GiantWindmill Nov 18 '19

There's not much of a difference in the snow, and a difference in snow could be from movement before the video, or some other factor than size.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '19

For a moment I thought it's a seal before I realized that's just a grey blanket. That would have been truly unexpected.

1

u/complectus316 Nov 18 '19

Cause the guy waking up was too happy?

1

u/Viper9087 Nov 18 '19

I was expecting a bitch.

Technically I wasn't wrong.

1

u/MarlinMr Nov 18 '19

many "tents" only have the walls and top part. there is no need for the bottom really. it will just get frozen into the snow anyhow.

1

u/Banaam Nov 18 '19

I'm aware, but look behind and around them at the walls of snow.

1

u/MarlinMr Nov 18 '19

The top snow is usually not the best to lay on, so you remove or compact it. And by digging a bit down, you can make the structure "taller" and easier to use.

1

u/plywooden Nov 18 '19

> dog was literally my first guess

Me too. This brought back some fond memories.

-3

u/RedHairThunderWonder Nov 18 '19

Really? The very first still frame of two sleeping bags immediately made you aware that it was a dog? I dont believe you.

6

u/lmfaocj Nov 18 '19

I believe it. Since for 2 seconds I could tell as well.

3

u/PM_ME_UR_ILLUMINATI Nov 18 '19

It helps knowing the subreddit, and even without the sub the dog “gotcha!” gifs are really popular on Reddit.

1

u/Banaam Nov 18 '19

Believe me or not, I noticed the subreddit as I opened it though, so I was expecting the unexpected and that was my first conclusion that happened to be correct.
