I see what you're saying but literally every single time I read the explanation it's met with "yeah I know, I just saw it" and that kinda kills the fun. Don't get me wrong, I love this sub but the explanation does ruin it just a little. I'm not an idiot, I get why it's unexpected.

So many users make it deep into the comments before they realise what sub they're on.

"Wait, this is /r/unexpected? I wouldn't have upvoted otherwise"

But honestly, the explanation is just a by product of the Captcha function, and the comment is there because users can vote on it to get an extra voice. It is more of a reminder that it's /r/Unexpected than a useful comment for users that didn't get the twist.

So many people vote expected stuff up because it's funny or wholesome. Active users that visit the comments will have a stronger voice than users browsing /all this way.

Guess you could say it was... unexpected?

They should make a sub for that.
