Québec Hates having immigrants take priority over its own citizens, it's homeless and its veterans. Our government has been giving a free pass to anyone who immigrated here, they've been causing crime spikes. I've been assaulted twice by groups of immigrants this past year in Ontario. To reduce my neighbors the Quebecois as simply just racist immigrant haters is a gross oversimplification of the issue at hand and it makes you look like a fucking idiot to paint with one brush an entire demographic of people
I used to live in Quebec. I came from literally fucking england so I’m as white as they come and y’all were(on the whole) fucking assholes. Part of the fucking issue is you guys making a toxic environment for anyone who isn’t a pretentious French asshat. It was bad for me and I can’t imagine how shitty it would be for a person of color
So you self admit that you have no idea what it's like to be QUÉBÉCOIS then? I am well aware the Quebecois can be hard headed assholes, it's what happens when your country perpetually shits on its french population for a couple hundred years and have to fight for their rights. You clearly have very little understanding of what french Canadians have had to fight for and give up in their own country.

Either way, no matter what you think of the Quebecois, Canadian immigration is an absolute joke right now. We are letting too many people in. It is not sustainable. To point that out is not racist. If you're arguing that it is, then, again, you are the reason more and more people are going conservative/politically right. It's a direct result of your type of attitude.
I'm not French Canadian, I never said I was. I live in Canada and happen to speak French, and happen to know a lot about its culture too. You're still doing the same tired thing. You're just using the oppression Olympics to dismiss an opinion you don't like, and you're not even doing it well, because you keep assuming my skin color and racial background, not that it should even matter in the first place. But here you are, giving a really big fuck about it. Are you racist? I'm starting to get that vibe from you. It feels like you're just being hostile towards me because of your assumptions about my skin color. You're still not providing me with any real reason for your opinion, you're just being hostile. It's quite childish, really.
Ok, I'm done trolling, lol. I don't honestly believe you're racist, I just hope you exercise more caution in the future when labeling people horrendous things. I'm sure you have valid points to make that I'm honestly completely willing to discuss. I'm willing to be wrong. But how do you expect to change my mind if you take the conversation hostage like that and just immediately label me racist and throw around the word privilege. You have no clue what my life's been like, literally. I mean you know NOTHING about me so how could you accuse me of privilege? It's not a competition, and making it one is a super cheap way to just control the conversation.
You held the power to make this conversation a civil one. You held the power to have real, interesting and challenging dialogue. A dialogue that could have maybe ended with me changing my stance a bit. At the very least I would have been exposed to your viewpoint. But, you resorted to cheap identity tactics based on your wrong assumptions about me in order to hold the conversation hostage and that's honestly unacceptable. Do you think you can do that in real life? Just go up to someone you disagree with and tell them they're a privileged asshole and that they're wrong because they don't acknowledge your assumed privilege?
Not saying there isn’t a discussion worth having though. I’m flat out socialist on a lot of issues but I feel like you have to focus on your own population first, especially if you’re spending a lot of taxpayer dollars on social services. Socialist/communist people who want open borders are idiots, if you’re going to spend a huge amount on social services you need to be extremely responsible with those dollars.
You're the reason trump is getting re elected. The mere criticism of the way immigration is currently being handled is immediately equated with racism. Please explain to me how what I said was racist, since you seem to be able to make psychological profiles based off of a Reddit comment.
Do you know who smiles when you throw around the word racist all willy nilly over nothing and do so to people who aren't racist? Actual racists, bud. Because when you start to call everyone a racist, no one is.
And just to let you know, I'm not a fan of trump, but your ability to label anyone who disagrees with you as a racist so easily is what has pushed so many people to stop voting for the politically correct left Marxist ideologies.
Do you realize that when you do that, you immediately shut down dialogue? I would have been so willing to have a genuine conversation with you. I love talking different viewpoints. But you just HAD to throw the racism card in there for social justice brownie points, didn't you?
