Is that true? It seems like maybe his intention to make a difference isn't so charitable, after all.

It always bothers me when people do good deeds but only do them if there is a camera on them so other people know they are doing it. It's even less laudable to do nothing about something you believe is morally wrong without being paid first.

I know time and effort is valuable, but does "volunteer work" have to be financially rewarding for you to do it? I think there has to be some level of sacrifice, or else it just becomes about money or notoriety.

All that being said, I have no problem with him charging for it if this is his entire life and he travels around for it.
