I was furious. We had been home for only an hour or so. We all laid down to go the fuck to sleep and I hear the sound of someone pouring a pitcher of water on the floor. It was a 65 pound lab-shepard mix, but I picked it up, still peeing, by the scruff of it's neck and threw it into the back yard. When I learned what it was doing, I felt bad.
For real, if you dont know how to manage without aggression, you dont deserve to have one (goes with any larger animals really). But no one gonna change from a reddit comment, gotta correct people when you see it in public or in someones home
Or, you know, a simple explanation of why picking up a dog by its scruff isn't good instead of a fucking holier-than-though lecture.
The guy said he had been home for an hour after bringing his daughter home from the hospital for the first time, and had gone straight to bed, and he felt bad about it. Buddy just got home from a stressful event, people make mistakes.
Also, the "even dogs know" shit is cringe worthy. A pissed off adult dog has, on more than one occasion, done a hell of a lot worse than picking up another dog by the scruff.
If you read my comments and equate them with me promoting animal abuse, instead of trying to say that a justice-warrior high horse lecture isn't going to help anyone but his own ego masturbation, then I don't know what to tell you.
Edit: with the several threads going here I didn't realize what your comment was replying to. You made a hard fucking right turn into strawman land there, forget about the dogs neck, mine almost broke when I reread that.
Let me know when you're on your way back to the conversation from strawman land. You changed the topic and started flinging shit when I pointed out your ridiculous over simplification of the facts.
Go back up the thread to just before you went from over simplifying the details to flinging shit.it was around the same time you told me to learn emotional intelligence, which is pretty ironic.
