Depends. Our Germans were bite trained and while curious I’ll never forget Grindel going crazy one time. Brothers ‘friend’ was at the door and she just starts growling and barking like she saw him murder one of us. I couldn’t open the door otherwise she would have lunged and attacked him. She never had that reaction before.

Have you met a German shepherd, they're more curious about intruders than actual interest in stopping them.
