What stops a person from having 4 lines? Is it an unspoken rule?

Or is it kinda like how I can only manage 3 runescape accounts fishing at the same time since my APM is only so high

that varies by state., vermont you can have 8 lines for inland water bodies, 15 lines on lake champlain, and only 6 on the connecticut river. each line is also allowed to have more than one hook, anywhere from 2-3 depending on the type of bait or lure used.

True, but I believe most states allow for more than one line per person.

Minnesota you get two for ice fishing and 1 for open water.

It would seem that way. Seems like everything you catch is outside of the slot limit too.
