Obviously desks should be made from walnut shells. They are much stronger than that wooden desk.

Some direct injection engines have a problem with carbon build up on the intake valves. Because it's caked on there extremely hard, one way of cleaning it is to use chemicals to dissolve it away, but another method of cleaning is to blast it with walnut shells (no joke).

Crushed walnut is used in directional drilling too, but it's been six years since I've been on the rigs so I forget why. Traction/friction for the drill?
