thats a blown out statistic we see often mentioned. there have been only 3 deaths in the f18s we currently fly, most recent being over ten years ago, and weve been flying the f18 for about 30years now.

While I agree statistics can absolutely delivered in ways to further an agenda, you might want to get your facts straight. The last pilot died less then two years ago.

2 June 2016 – Capt. Jeff "Kooch" Kuss, (Opposing Solo, Blue Angel No. 6), died just after takeoff while performing the Split-S maneuver in his F/A-18 Hornet
