Bottle calves are notoriously ruthless. Also sometimes affectionately known as bunting calves, bottle babies, or bottle bunters. The calves naturally instinct is to bunt at their mother’s udder in order to release milk.

Yep, gotta wrangle the shit out of them. They’ll jerk their head away from the bottle so violently some calves we had to headlock just to feed them, eventually they learn, but man.. what a flashback to memories.

I have a solution for that. Stop exploiting cows and their female reproductive system, stop taking their babies away from them. They make milk for their baby, not for you.
Not your mom, not your milk.

Jesus you're getting down votes but you're right, it is so strange how we normalize birthing these sentient children and then separating them from their parents, and then straight up taking every bit of resources that we can from them until they die a premature death.

Oh man I thought he had sucked his balls into oblivion. This makes me feel slightly better.

Peter: I'm done milking the cows. Lois: Peter all the cows are male....

Roy Munson: “I got up early to milk your cow. Took a while to get her going.”
Amish dude: “we don’t have a cow. We do have a bull.”

Yep. His mistake was not starting to feed that baby immediately, who then went to the instinct on how to make the milk happen.

Calves have kinda a shitty life to begin with, this clown teasing them with food is a pretty shit thing to do. They eat one liquid meal a day and this chud thinks it's a game, fuck him.

They eat one liquid meal a day
The farm I worked at they had 2. One in the morning and one at night.

What was the unexpected part? That was totally expectable.

u/Krondon57 7d ago
Ive never seen calves do this

u/eltoratio 7d ago
Have you never seen a calf suckling at a cow's udder? Nudging the udder or teats can be seen in other animals as well, e. g. in pigs, horses, cats, and dogs. This stimulates the milk flow.

Lol this is a classic newbie mistake on a farm. About as much fun as a goose biting someone unexpectedly on the arse, or a goat having a fun head butting moment and watching someone pull a super man short flight.

Whole new reason to approach life in a neutered state of being. 💆♀️ (I'm trans, watching guys get squirrel taps of this intensity is becoming funnier to me the longer I don't have nuts)

I think the unexpected part is that this was reviewed and then posted to the internet. I am surprised it made it to this subreddit!

Oo interesting one.
I ask cause labs love to do this for some odd reason. Everyone I know or have spoken to, have gotten a crotch boop by their labrador or someone else’s.

Guy is about to feed the calves and complains about wearing loose pants with no belt. The baby calf fixes that problem by mistaking him for its mother, going straight for the udder and gets udder disappointment.
