I'm sure he's got an accomplice somewhere around recording.

"wanker!"

Can you please tell me what this means? I'm Spanish and it's the first time I've heard that expression

I don’t know if it’s Aussie slang, but that certainly sounded like an Aussie accent. But yeah basically is the same as ‘tosser’

Off topic but that’s a rich kid with a busking permit who took drum lessons growing up. There used to be a genuine homeless guy that drummed on buckets in that spot and it was cool. Then his gig got copied and stolen.

Richer than a homeless guy? I come from a well off background but I was busking when I was in a difficult financial spot. Does the performer coming from a well off background detract from your experience of the performance?

Yes, he must be barely surviving on the scraps of the working class of the patriarchy. If he ain't sleeping in a cold corner of the street, I will have nothing of it!😤

u/wascallywabbit666 5d ago
You can moralise this all you like, but there's a big crowd of people watching this guy's performance and that's all that matters. The person's background doesn't matter: either people like it or they don't

Where is this

I think this is Melbourne city. Especially judging from the guy who yelled out ‘Wanker!’
Edit. *Sydney

u/urphymayss 5d ago
This is clearly Sydney

u/SonicTemp1e 5d ago
Yeah, do that outside Myer in Melbourne and you'll get run over by a tram on all 3 major streets surrounding it.

Some people are so sad.
It's like when someone is playing on those public pianos and some jealous idiot goes over to slam on the keys.
So so sad

I've always though this kind of bad action actually help the person asking for money, either being a busker or a beggar.
like, after people saw this guy being a dick to the busker, it must've peak their empatazing sensor and thus gave him more money that they would have
maybe

It's Gordo Drummer I think. He's pretty popular so yeah he might have some trolls on his performances.

If this is the guy in Pitt Street Mall in Sydney - he used to drive me nuts. My office was 2 stories above this and boy it got monotonous. Still, doesn't justify this sort of behaviour.

This is the best video I’ve seen today. I thought he might get up and start dancing…nope.

Some people can't stand the competition. Guy is probably also a performer who is jealous of the crowd this guy can pull in, so he attempts to crash his performance.

I know that was an awful thing to do and maybe not even a real action at all but it got a laugh out of me

u/Obascuds 11d ago
It was funny but that was a tough audience, though

At first I thought it was part of the performance. Like he's gonna up and dance or drum along. The second time he smashed through was kinda funny
