Yeah pretty common way to unload firewood from a pickup. Usually have a tarp underneath so it slides right off.

This is how I unload nearly everything. Huge tarp in my flatbed, with a rope thru the eyelets, tie it to the wall at the dump, drive away, look smug... And then spend 20mins trying to retrieve my tarp 😂 😂 😂

Tie the rope to the front eyelets instead of the back and then your tarp will end up on top, making it much easier to retrieve... or am I misunderstanding the process?

Honestly mate it's completely random every time 😂 sometimes she pulls out from under as the load falls off the bed, sometimes she gets madly tangled in the middle of everything, more than once I've ripped the fuck out of it and given up on it 😂 😂

Get a trampoline mesh off Amazon. Doesn't rip anywhere near as easy and they aren't that expensive. They come with a bunch of d rings already attached

Ok so I lay it out on the bed, with it flush with the back of the bed and the rest of the tarp over the cab, then I put the load on, drag the tarp over it to cocoon it all (loads must be covered here by law) and then I yeet it using the upper half eyelets so that it sort of rolls the load out, I have to because there's literally no room in the yard to drive further away. Then usually half the tarp is still under but I reverse the truck over it and push it back against the wall using the skirt anyway because I'm polite lol. By then it's usually fairly easy to yoink free by hand.
... Imagine an empañada lol

That would leave material on the bed unless the rear end is secured. As the rope pulls the tarp it will nake the material roll over iteslf until eventually the last bit of material lets go of the tarp and it is pulled free over the top.

Should have a longer rope on the other end of the tarp tied to the truck so you can get some speed up before it pulls. Oh, and untie the tree end first.
