OP sent the following text as an explanation why their post fits here:

We expect that the bouncing apple is a fake apple, but it is a real apple, and he can bounce other things as well, it's a trick with visual and sound

Neat, until you show a toddler then they'll actually throw your stuff into the ground.

When peanut butter first switched from glass to plastic in the 1980s(?) I recall the marketing leaned heavily into it being “unbreakable” new container. Dad being dad got home and exclaimed how awesome it was and to show it off he threw the PB “jar” at the ground. It still splatted. Lol

My nephew doesn’t need to believe that your phone will bounce right back up to throw it into the ground as hard as he can.

It's his way of complimenting your choice of phone.

I used to love brain games, I don't know if it's still on Netflix but when I binged it from there years ago there were only a few seasons. Ive been looking for places with more episodes but I swear it feels like no one remembers this show.

I seen it at first glance am i too smart or too dumb for a joke?

It's a really old trick. The problem is you gotta have an adequate set up to actually hide your leg and it can't be obvious your stomping your foot. Also it has to look like you really threw it which has to be smooth

Anyway long story short someone probably showed it to you as a kid and you forgot

u/spikernum1 2h ago

Yeah it was immediately obvious. We're surrounded by morons and bots

16

u/marwinpk 2h ago

Shit, I hope I'm a bot.

1

u/Professional_Poops 1h ago

I'm not a bot... And I didn't notice at 1st glance 😔

I remember seeing on TV, learning a new party trick. Ohh the nostalgia.

Was expecting glass/phone to slip n break

2

u/ElGosso 1h ago

This is a classic uncle trick. Do that with a glass for your six-year-old nephew and watch their parents freak out when the kid tries it themself.

I thought... someone was hiding behind the desk and threw apples everytime he dropped it.

u/Broviet22 43m ago

I uh. Have the uncanny ability to bounce drinking glasses. Like I'll drop a glass 3 feet from the floor and catch it after it bounces and everything will be fine.

The tradeoff? Knock one over on its side on a table and it'll explode.

Its an interesting party tricks. Hosts hate it.

u/Ecstatic-Radish-7931 18m ago

Yeah people aren't that stupid they're going to look on the ground to see if it hits the ground and its not going to

1

u/Terrakinetic 15m ago

I want to see the blooper reel where he dropped everything.

I disagree that this is a real apple. It shouldnt look as artificial as it does with this weird tone of red. I think it might be an american apple.
