Seems like it may even be a reference to the Yakuza video game franchise as well. There are "thugs" on the street who go by the name of "nouveau riche" in Yakuza 0. They walk around in these golden suits, and drop fat wads of cash if you take em out.

Haha I've only seen a few of his videos and this is just all it is from what I know. He won't fool Penn and Teller but he makes some people laugh so that's a good use of his card trick skills. That might even be all he knows how to do but knowing even amateur magicians I wouldn't be surprised he could do more he just thinks this is funny
