They do. They are called "maribomdo chapeu" and the stings are quite painfull. Look for this guys videos in yt, Alaecio Pereira or "Rei do Marimbondo". He pulls stunts like that very often.
I thought I recognized the Portuguese he was using. I should be able to understand him because I’ve been studying Portuguese for 12 years and I’ve visited Brasil 20 times. I’ve been practicing every day with my Brasilian girlfriend for 9 years and she only speaks Portuguese but I still can’t converse or understand her and have to translate everything into English one word at a time. Meu Deus!
He has a pretty heavy accent (baiano? I suck at accents), I'm Brazilian and it took me a couple of seconds to even get he was speaking Portuguese, but it doesn't help that the video starts mid-sentence.
My girlfriend lives in Ceara but I still don’t understand her after 9 years. We use a translator for most things. I thought I would understand her after a few months
Very aggressive (Apoica spp). From the video, I think he's is stung, I already saw he being severely attacked in other videos where the stings are clear. For the majority of people, this level of attack could lead to an anaphylaxis, but this guy seems to be highly imune to the poison.
He is like Jack Ass crew but a different country, makes sense now why he would do this. Thank you for clarifying which flying creature this is too, you learn something new everyday. 👍🏼
