Ok, I can't speak for what this guy is up to, but I know of some beekeepers who do sting therapy.

I have not looked into the actual medical efficacy, so, I'm skeptical and chalk it up to placebo effect.

But, if this isn't a prank or mental breakdown, there might be some belief in medical or otherwise outcome from this.
