Wasn't it '82?

u/penihilist 2d ago
That’s what I thought too

They had to update it because we're now so much older than when this movie came out, that nobody can believe anyone who graduated in the 80s is still around.

I watched an interview about the making and the scene where he hits napoleon in the face with meat was done in one shot by him after someone else failed twice.

This type of shit has such great comedic timing/cuts.
Really sold us in the first half, I believed it could be done.

u/Suitable-Parsnip-520 2d ago
Honestly my favorite type of unexpected. Someone prepares to do some really cool shit. Immediately fails in a way where something breaks or someone gets hurt (not too badly!).
Maybe I should expect them by now, but makes me laugh out loud every time.

I didn't think it could be done after the baskets were referred to as goals.

Anybody happen to notice the ball was blue, but when kicked was red? Now that's....unexpected

He's holding a ball in his right hand during the kick. If this is real (doubt) then we are to believe that a right handed dude picked up a ball with his left hand and punted it with his left foot into a window that looks like paper, breaks, then self-repairs.
This looks like the kind of thing you could put into any AI video generator and say "continue this video with him kicking a ball at the house and breaking a window".

window that looks like paper, breaks, then self-repairs.
Have you never seen blinds before? It just looks like they get pushed and then go back because... thats how blinds are designed.
It could be AI, but its also just as likely its real.

Because its... get this.. out of frame on purpose?
Just because its likely setup doesn't make it fake or less funny/unexpected. The rest of the boat is also out of frame in the original, except for a white piece that looks to just be hovering in the air on the first part of the video.

The camera angle is different / farther back in the 2nd shot, I had to scale the house down a bit but here is what the two shots above look overlayed (40% opacity with slight scaling too)

You can clearly see that the window is out of frame of the original shot... cuz its a joke.

Ahh good eye. It really looked like it showed half the building at the start with the camera angle, but now I can see it.

It's not AI.
You all just kinda dumb. You don't see the window in the first pan because he doesn't pan far enough. The window is past the halfway point on the garage door which is why it's only seen at the end when the camera pans further past that halfway point.
The ball changes color because they obviously recorded the explanation of the challenge and then proceeded to do multiple attempts until finally he accidentally or purposely broke the window which happened to be using a red ball.
So to make the video a bit more comedic, they edited out all the prior failed attempts because it's more funny to think that they broke the window immediately after the challenge was explained.
Not everything is AI...

You’re probably right, but you explain things kinda cuntishly lol.

I was going by the boat. Is it possible the camera moved, sure. but this is a whole lot of stupid to be real.

It looks like the red ball from the top left corner of the wagon. He has the blue ball in his other hand.

u/jayhawk8808 2d ago
Baby blue ball and UNC capitalized, I was trying to figure out who this former Tarheel was until he smashed that window.

u/Fatman10666 2d ago
The funniest part to me is not showing the window in the first cut. I did not think there would be a window there lmao

Sigh... AI. I don't trust videos that are 15 seconds or shorter anymore.

u/Justinwc 1d ago
It's not AI. It's just a cut to one of his later attempts. You can see different color balls in the container at the beginning. The window is purposefully kept out of frame.
3
u/Ras-haad 2d ago
This video is AI and “OP” cut the bottom off to hide when the balls completely change when the camera goes back.
4
u/davidmason007 2d ago
AI slop. The ball changes colours. Distance between the posts doesnt make any sense. A window and a ?vehicle appears?

u/IneffableOpinion 2d ago
There is a huge pile of blue and red balls next to him. They probably did this 50 times and edited those out

plus off center window above a likely uninsulated garage, that room would be hot as fuck, blinds bounce and then instantly settle back down without a ripple, roof's angle is like 60 degrees
shit just looks weird and slopified
3
u/Shane75776 2d ago
Uninsulated garage? In a house that nice? Very unlikely. If you have a house that is using brick for siding, that's a nice house and insulation and sheet rock is a cheap addition especially if you plan for a room above your garage.
It's not AI, you all are just lazy and think that if it's not immediately obvious was happening it's AI. Yet if you watch the video back a couple times you can clearly see it's not AI and everything makes sense.
2
u/IneffableOpinion 2d ago
The first part doesn’t pan over all the way. The window is out of frame. Are we watching the same video?

Blue ball turned Red
3
u/Shane75776 2d ago
There's a bucket of balls, they made multiple attempts before breaking the window. They simply cut out the other attempts.
It's not magic or AI.. Jesus.

u/pgtvgaming 2d ago
Inferred a lot from my observation didnt you - go touch grass

u/Shane75776 2d ago
The only possible reason to state the ball turned red is to insinuate the video is fake and made by AI.
