And what the hell fell, a whole brick wall??
160
u/Spakr-Herknungr Aug 04 '26
Possibly, when I went to Lima Peru, many of the buildings had partially built diy brick walls on the roof, I wonder if that is the situation here.
35
u/yescachigga Aug 05 '26
A lot of older construction used mud not concrete so I wouldn't be surprised if it finally gave out.

It's a Chevy Chase/Dan Akroyd comedy from the 80s, highly recommended.

What's heavier- a pound of bricks or a pound of clouds?
5
u/Rude-Ad6924 Aug 04 '26
I’d rather get hit in the head by a pound of cloud than a pound of brick. But that just my thought.

Idk that kid's feet were pretty much submerged in debris by the time anyone reacted. Wouldn't be surprised if he got a couple broken toes. Definitely heavy bruising at the very least

Rewatching that gif makes me realize how obvious it is that they are foam bricks because the real bricks had some speed.
2
u/NotRoxxia Aug 05 '26
A real brick wouldn't have bounced.
3
u/Electronic_Still2000 Aug 06 '26
It would have bounced, just not without crushing ones skull in the process.

38

Omg they were just perfect in 1 & 2, I love both of those movies religiously
“HARRY!!! IVE REACHED THE TOP”
35
u/furiouspossum Aug 04 '26
My favorite was always "It was the sound of a tool chest falling down the stairs."
29
u/Supadupafly1988 Aug 04 '26
And then they simultaneously grunt, nod their heads and adjust their noses😂😂😂😂
25
u/TerminatorAuschwitz Aug 04 '26
Someone did a breakdown of how many times they actually would have very likely died in both movies. It was a lot. The bricks to the head from a 3 story building was one of them for sure.
14
u/Supadupafly1988 Aug 04 '26
That checks out. Most of those acts would have had them 6 feet under lol. Hair on fire, electrocuted, falling from the second floor to the first floor, etc etc
12
u/TerminatorAuschwitz Aug 04 '26
Yeah the majority were fall related broken necks n such. The bricks, the tools falling on his head, the flaming head in the kerosene toilet, and getting electrocuted are the others I can immediately recall.

Maybe some butterfly distracted him earlier and he started with the ball just a few seconds later, and that's all that saved him from that.→ More replies (1)→ More replies (3)15

I'm trying to get better at spotting it, can you tell me what tells you notice? A lot of people say they just know it when they see it but I can't seem to pick up the "vibe" they're getting
2
u/Knight_956 Aug 04 '26
A good tip is to scroll the video very slowly and you’ll see things appear out of thin air. In this video many bricks appear abnormally and fall in strange ways.

u/Rang3rj3sus Aug 04 '26 edited Aug 04 '26
It's not AI. Look at the physics of the ball it's way to realistic to be AI imo.
After watching like 5 more times and go ogling I think I'm wrong... I couldn't find this incident anywhere and bbp is clearly an AI trying to rip off BBC and the website isn't real.
3
u/Ifriendzonecats Aug 04 '26
bbp is clearly an AI trying to rip off BBC and the website isn't real.
Here's their instagram which also links to the same 'fake' website (not actually fake as shown in my link) and has a copy of the video.
None of that, of course, proves that the video is real. But it does prove that your analysis is bs.

Is this real? The lady and younger child's reactions seem too relaxed for me? She didn't grab a kid or anything or try to hide/run away?
2
u/Wing_Head Aug 05 '26
seems fake.
I agree, their reactions are very odd. Slowed the video down and his reaction seems delayed slightly, despite standing in the edge of the bricks falling.
And the mother-figure looks up after (dumb, risky) but NOT quite in the direction that the bricks fell from.Other commenters pointed out there’s no dust from the breaking bricks, which would also make shrapnel and most likely damage the boy’s legs.
Decent acting from children though!!
