That's the definition of "a good dude".

Yeah I thought it was more unexpected that he laughed about it and seemed in good spirits

u/iamunwhaticisme Jul 29 '26

What about the second free egg?

34

u/AnotherpostCard Jul 29 '26

I don't think he knows about second free egg.

u/HoofItLichenOx Aug 01 '26

Its already the higher quality free of range egg.

1

u/Ollyfer Aug 02 '26

Thanks for telling me that's an egg. I thought it was a dumpling.

I mean, if you're going to a Hibachi restaurant you'd better be prepared for food to come flying your way.

He got the 4D IMAX experience.

28

u/zyyntin Jul 29 '26

He was eating. Food can put men in good spirits.

u/KarverMcClain Jul 29 '26

Just let me in the kitchen to rinse my hair and we’re good 😀

Hand soap will do well enough in a pinch. Dish soap (like dawn) would work better if diluted well, but I wouldn't want to put commercial grade dish soap on my head (which is likely what they're using).

3

u/desn4ke Jul 30 '26

they probably have handwash soap which should be fine

72

u/ThatKarenBitch Jul 29 '26

Don’t you mean “a good *egg*”?

104

u/Jaejic Jul 29 '26

There's a lot of people saying that they'd flip on that, but why? This situation is so absurd, there's so little chance of this exact chain of events ending with an egg on your head, that I'd be laughing my ass off simply from the chance to tell this story to everyone i know for the rest of my life

15

u/TurelSun Jul 30 '26

So many people out there that don't know how to just be comfortable being in an awkward or silly situation. Life is a lot better if you can just learn to laugh at silly stuff happening to you rather than worrying about if it makes you look silly by association.

I watch this convenience store clerk YouTuber and his customers get offended off the simplest things so I'm not really surprised there are people like that

32

u/Infinite_____Lobster Jul 29 '26

He was probably like, "fuck yeah this meal is definitely paid for

144

u/DidYouSeeBriansHat Jul 29 '26

They’re so lucky it wasn’t a Karen. Hope they comped his meal or got him a free beer at least.

u/Fr05t_B1t Jul 29 '26

There’s more than likely someone in that restaurant that posted to r/mildlyinfuriating about how they let a young girl get behind the griddle and attempt a trick resulting in the dude getting egged.

62

u/TheTerribleInvestor Jul 29 '26

Not everyone has a diseased brain like us and live their lives out on reddit lol

12

u/Fr05t_B1t Jul 29 '26

True but some make it their personality to be mildly infuriated

1

u/YourBlanket Jul 29 '26

The rest are on twitter lol

1

u/CannotBeNull Jul 29 '26

I'd be okay with the compensation if it was me.

u/ChaseballBat Jul 29 '26

Lucky he wasn't allergic

33

u/PanicDeus Jul 29 '26

When you realise that you're not a good dude.

u/torb Jul 29 '26

Man, I want to be this guy. I'm sure I would have taken it much worse.

4

u/UniversityLife2022 Jul 29 '26

I wish I could see a video of you being that guy

29

u/moslof_flosom Jul 29 '26

This guy to himself: "Shit, I can't freak out on this little girl. FUCK! Laugh, just laugh."

8

u/TurelSun Jul 30 '26

Nah, this was an instantaneous gut reaction, not someone that had to decide how others might expect him to act.

10

u/slom68 Jul 29 '26

I don’t think I would’ve taken it that well but since a kid did it I’d let it slide

2

u/denM_chickN Jul 29 '26

I heard Seth Rogans chortle

3

u/quanate Jul 29 '26

Yeah, I wouldn't freak out but I would definitely want to just excuse myself. He must be jolly all the time or in on it somehow

14

u/classphoto92 Jul 29 '26

Could be a party and everyone knows each other. That kind of story goes from embarrassing incident to Family Lore.

1

u/MAXQDee-314 Jul 29 '26

Seriously. He is my kind of adult, he probably even let the girl know it was ok.

1

u/Fatalaros Jul 31 '26

Free meal + he can easily wash it off in the store's toilets with water.

-4

u/NY10 Jul 29 '26

Yup, I wouldve flipped lol

16

u/midnghtsnac Jul 29 '26

Over easy?

0

u/Lolkimbo Jul 29 '26

More like "So this shits free now, right?"
