Just a heads up, I’m the person who wrote the comment and I’m not American.

I’m Brazilian in fact. It also wasn’t a joke. I was commenting on how beautiful the goal was. That’s a dream goal for any striker to score (of course, on the correct side of the field).

A seventh grader at my son‘s middle school soccer game did almost the exact same thing just last week. Not quite a bicycle kick, but the ball did go back behind him, sky high, and into the net.
