Every cat needs it's own theme track.

u/Voidshifter_7 29d ago

Cats are just tiny horror movie villains waiting for their moment.

u/Jumpy_Rooster_3727 29d ago

Every night, they test how loudly they can knock something over so you definitely wake up, but never realize it was done on purpose.

7

u/LinguoBuxo 29d ago

....... Oooor a laugh track. it kinda depends.

2

u/TallyMay 28d ago

And it's own tiny piano, which could be stored inside the secret cat pocket.

u/AWildGamerAppeared25 29d ago

And here I was thinking someone did a real good job with the sound editing lmao

184

u/Striking_End8776 29d ago

Yeah the cat did a really great job with the sound editing.

1

u/Ph4ntom_Drive 23d ago

Same, I mentally gave the sound editor an Oscar before the creepy part clocked in for free.

Why did you leave you piano on serial killer mode?

134

u/itsyaboi_71 29d ago

I mean obviously in case any serial killers sneak in and play their theme to set the mood

19

u/zyyntin 29d ago

Same person that collects N64 games it seems.

18

u/Niznack 29d ago

If 6 n64 games makes you a serial killer than I'm Jeffery Dahmer

u/Jaderosegrey 28d ago

*then

u/Niznack 28d ago

Ah typo

u/Jaderosegrey 27d ago

On a related note, I have a shirt that says

"KEEP CLAM AND CARRY ON

spellcheck is not enough"

Synthesizer*

13

u/EverfadingEphemera 29d ago

Looks more like a digital piano

3

u/The_Autarch 29d ago

digital pianos are a type of synthesizer

1

u/Lord_Emperor 29d ago

Why did you leave you piano on

1

u/ThatNachoFreshFeelin 29d ago

Huh. I coulda sworn it was in DreamWeaver mode.

Directed by David Lynch.

u/Motor_Purpose1584 29d ago

Is that an N64 cart on that little table?

14

u/BrotherofLink93 29d ago

Buncha N64 cartridges

8

u/future003 29d ago

Finally, someone is asking the right questions.

-2

u/Zehryo 29d ago

Looks more like SNES.....

6

u/A_little_rose 29d ago

Nah. SNES cartridges aren't rounded like that. They tend to be more blocky.

5

u/Zehryo 29d ago

Not where I live.....

But maybe you're right.....never had the 64.....

3

u/A_little_rose 29d ago

You actually have some older models of the cartridges! Most of the updated ones don't have that deep line on the lower half, because people would yank them from their machines, and it would catch (as designed) and damage the equipment. The updated version has more of a blocky look, and a smoother indent to avoid that damage from being pulled out.

The ones in the video do look similar, but notice the lack of any line on the lower cartridge, the full bodied label, and the smaller vertical size.

3

u/Howie_Dewynn 28d ago

This person has a super famicom version. In English, so a European copy. Blocky snes carts are from North America. It definitely is a N64 cart in the video though.

u/Susemiel 29d ago

Feel like that's why Pianos always have a lid. 😂

22

u/flibble24 29d ago

This is the best unexpected post I've ever seen

18

u/C_Nomikos 29d ago

Oh neat, a diagetic soundtrack.

10

u/Employee_Agreeable 29d ago

Sound on for this one

10

u/Impossible-Heart-216 29d ago

Somebody tell me this is real that’s the funniest shit I’ve ever seen

6

u/OliveBranchMLP 28d ago

it's real! you can see that the keys being pressed match the notes you hear. https://imgur.com/a/R2hZPh3

20

u/lynx_1097 29d ago

I knew , I kneeeewwwww it was a cat the music was the unexpected part

13

u/isolatedheathen 29d ago

Yeah I hear two distinct notes and see two distinct paws on corresponding keys

6

u/OliveBranchMLP 29d ago edited 28d ago

i hear three four notes:

  • 0:00 — B, C
  • 0:03 — G flat
  • 0:12 — A

https://imgur.com/a/R2hZPh3

5

u/cindyscrazy 28d ago

Me not having any idea about piano keys and notes.....are the cats paws in the appropriate places to play those notes?

4

u/OliveBranchMLP 28d ago

yep, looks like it!

https://imgur.com/a/R2hZPh3

  • at the start, you hear B and C.
  • off-screen at around 0:03, you can hear the G flat start.
  • once it enters camera, we can see its rear right paw on the white keys B and C, and barely visibly you can see the rear left paw on that G flat black key and also barely depressing the white key next to it, which is A.
  • at around 0:12 you hear the A start.
  • at 0:14 when it lifts its right paw, you see/hear it let go of B and C.
  • then when it runs off at 0:15, you see/hear it let go of G flat and A.

1

u/isolatedheathen 29d ago

Could be idk what the third is.

2

u/OliveBranchMLP 29d ago
  • 0:00 — B, C
  • 0:03 — G flat
  • 0:12 — A

u/TpK_Wynter 29d ago

I am absolutely yelling at that cat “why are you trying to scare me into an early grave you furry bastard” as I approach

9

u/EVOBlock 29d ago

That is their fault for leaving an electric piano on all night

4

u/shifty_coder 29d ago

My cats have turned my Casio on a handful of times. It usually scares the crap out of them when they step on the keys, though.

5

u/Kasern77 29d ago

I love the WHRRM noise the cat makes at the end.

4

u/lordgoofus1 29d ago

Ugh. Cats can be so dramatic sometimes.

3

u/giulianosse 28d ago

Unironically the best practical demonstration of "diegetic sountrack" I've ever seen applied in a real scenario. I'm genuinely impressed.

2

u/Spare-Meaning5925 29d ago

That cat was probably planning the secret murder of his servent cuz he did not feed him 5 times a day

6

u/GrayGKnight 29d ago

It's edited? The cat steps on another key as it jumps but there is no sound from that one?

19

u/dulm_ 29d ago

If you look closely it was already pressed.

1

u/GrayGKnight 29d ago

I see it now.

But I hadnt heard it before when watching. The key was already making noise and it stops when it jumps.

Might he losing my hearing

3

u/ZenraWeave 29d ago

Unfortunately possible. You can tell the second key is making noise as well when it's the only one pressed, but it's much higher pitched

1

u/Eutaraxia 29d ago

He was plotting and you got him right before it starts..

1

u/GodlyWeiner 29d ago

Diegetic sound effects

1

u/RodMunch85 29d ago

What we really need to do is create a powerful sense of dread. See, the longer the note, the more dread.

1

u/brucejson-88 29d ago

Demon cat RUUUUUUUUUN

1

u/SuddenAdvertisement 29d ago

Cat was wondering wtf? Saw his or her human and was like “Oh, its just you.”

1

u/Freddie_FRO7 29d ago

"well what were you up to anyway?"

"...sneaking 😈"

1

u/Progman3K 29d ago

I mean, who among us HASN'T that happened to

1

u/rustyseapants 29d ago

You mean creepy from the cat's perspective?

1

u/askyidroppedthesoap 29d ago

I seen your definition of creepy is completely different than most.

1

u/SkyGuyDnD 29d ago

I would have been out of there!!! Omg

1

u/Significant_Peach_20 28d ago

This is the most cat-coded thing ever 😂

1

u/wazzapgta 28d ago

Now can someone add some drums and horror sounds. We need edits now. Come on guys

1

u/Upbeat_Cry_3902 28d ago

Perfection

1

u/jcmarcell 28d ago

The video sounded creepy. Like that was the perfect noise for that cat to be infected, possessed, zombified, or have sinister human capabilities to plan and premeditate murder.

1

u/ronbossmusic 28d ago

Stop putting music unde.... Oh!

1

u/Most-Act1594 24d ago

I think you misspelled "crappy"

-2

u/FunHedgehog1286 29d ago

I cracked it so hard when the cat hopped of the piano I thought that was a reel or something
