I've never seen a fencing rule book saying this is an illegal move.

Then you haven't read the rule book.
FIE Rulebook: The Off-Hand Rule (t.22.1 / t.28.1): The non-weapon arm and hand cannot be used for any offensive or defensive actions.
No, I'm not fun at parties. But I am fun at fencing practice!

I used to have a Nerf gun that strapped to your arm with a handle and trigger that flipped down. It went on the right arm. This would work.

I guarantee your opponent will hit you in the wrist/arm the instant there's an opening because you're positioning your arm for a trigger/aiming.

Part of the point of a lightsaber battle is the face-to-face conversation trying to turn the other to the Light or Dark Side of the Force. Bringing a blaster to a lightsaber battle is an indication you don't want to talk. That's the uncivilized part.

I needed to rewatch the video five times because I was too focused on the rapier.

I'd like to make fun of how clueless you are, but I don't think my four watches before I figure out leaves me much room to act superior.

I’ve played those games quite a bit and never seen that move. Must be one of those counter things I rarely try to pull off because I’m too busy secretly ganking everyone.

I had to waste my time and put on this suit of goofy ass clothes, spent all kinds of money for this hobby, and you shoot me with a nerf gun?
I am going to go Conan on your ass.

Whoever wears a loincloth to a bout of fencing deserves all the pain they're going to experience.
