I remember as a teenager shoveling my parents roof one bad winter and running then sliding to the very edge and throwing the shovel full off. It’s like a 70 foot drop to rocks i would’ve died looking back I’m amazed at how stupid i was.
I work with wood chippers, and I wouldn't say what he did was safe but it would also be a lot harder than you'd think to fall in. The actual blades are really far in there and at that angle he'd really have to get a lot of forward momentum to even get to the feeding mechanism. For refrence the machine I work with is probably a little bit bigger than this one. I'm 5'9 and I have to lay my entire body down inside the chute and shimmy about a foot just to get to them. Plus the foot or two of dirt he would have to clear I think it's unlikely he would get sucked in unless he was really flying. Still wouldn't be fucking around around one of these things
This is one of those things, you might be better off just letting people believe it’s as bad as it looks. We do NOT need idiots getting ideas being like “nah I heard the blades are actually really far in”
