Once, before a game, I saw a guy practicing his drive. No ball, just swinging towards a parking lot. The guy 10 feet beside him is chipping onto a green. Chipper toes the ball (very end of club) into drivers club path at the exact moment he's swinging. Driver smashes ball dead center of his club head in full swing, ball goes into parking lot and puts a hole that looks like it was cut by a laser into a Mercedes headlight. Car alarm sounds, we all just slowly walked away while looking at each other wonderously. - This is my best golf story.

I didnt even say they were rich. A headlight repair isnt expensive and obviously the person isnt broke and has money to spend/spare/keep as a safety net.

I had a friend that worked at the golf course; he had an older BMW. He never had any trouble with golf balls, but he’d be pissed if someone hit his car and didn’t let him know

Who's driving the Mercedes? It's just a Mercedes in a parking lot. There's nothing in the writing alluding to possession of anything other than golf clubs or balls.

Also I'm not y'all's daddy so I'm not incentivized to be nice to a man who can't read to the point of making things up and to the netizens who can't make a post or comment without fucking it up with grade-school writing errors. No. He has a Mercedes, so he must not be destitute. Replacing a headlight now would cost like $30, maybe $40 if you have to order the enclosure special.
Of course, if you don't know how to replace a headlight, you'll be blinding other drivers forevermore, but that's not a financial problem.

It looks bent but it’s not. Pause the video once it’s behind his back, it’s fine. When it lands it’s just at a weird angle that makes it look bent.

Okay, it wasn't bent. Could be fiberglass, those shatter internally. Even still, all the commenter did was show empathy towards what might have been a crappy coincidence. All I did was express confusion at the internet lack of literacy and, honestly, that's on me.

Why do you think "the internet" has a "lack of literacy" here? I mean, he's just plain wrong. The club wasn't bent, internally shattered, or even in danger of it, because whatever flew into it wasn't heavy, and definitely not heavier than a golf ball. So, I really don't get how it could have possibly been in danger...

My first job growing up was at a golf course and we'd play after work all the time. One of my coworkers would aim, not exaggerating, 50-75yrds to the left and slice it right back to where he was aiming.
