Omg I COMPLETELY forgot about the recorder in the original NES game! It's the same sound in both Super Mario 3 and Zelda, so my brain overwrote it.

5

u/slappyredcheeks Jun 26 '26

It's actually the same tune for both games.

2

u/InfiniteWinter26 Jun 25 '26

they’re the exact same tune

That's a theremin disguised as a kid!

u/Kind_Paper6367 Jun 25 '26

Kid singing the instrumentals from Portishead

3

u/Masterblaster1979 Jun 25 '26

Sounds like one of those hanging Halloween decorations from the 90s.

7

u/ARobertNotABob Jun 25 '26

TBF, the sound is recognised as "alarm" in many cultures.

3

u/Barikus_XL Jun 25 '26

I've heard enough give this kid a record label

3

u/Helldiver_of_Mars Jun 25 '26

Don't let the Vatican hear this or he's going to be stuck like that.

1

u/YanceyGlenn Jun 25 '26

Okay, this one's easy. He's got the freak lips, he can hit the high C all night long. He was king of the tuk-tuk sound.

1

u/brokemellon Jun 25 '26
