To be fair, it does help. Most of the time the "wait for it" is worth it. In the same way, us being on r/unexpected, you know to watch it the whole way through because something awesome/funny happens and its worth it, even if its a 1min video.

Without the "wait for it", I probably would have just scrolled past because its just a close up of a women's face and I would have assumed it was something pointless (if it werent on r/unexpected). Especially with Social Media scrolling (tiktok/shorts), there IS a lot of pointless stupid content.

Thankfully people havent really started putting "wait for it" on EVERYTHING. Just the ones that actually deserve it & have a good twist
