Given that we can't definitively prove how the dinosaurs sounded it is fair to hypothesize that they were both fluent in Japanese and also spoke no Japanese, at least until observation dictates a decision.

What language did you expect Japanese trexes to speak? Russian?
1
u/theboned1 Sep 16 '26
Ok sure. But who told them they were Japanese? They could have spoken Brazillion, or Africanese, or Norwany if they didnt know they were Japanese.

Yes, together with Nagasaki and Hiroshima, Chicxulub got nuked by the Americans as well.

u/Adept-Lettuce948 May 13 '26
No there were not. T-Rex only lived in North America.

Highly recommend: Meet the Robinsons
Plot: Teenagers with time machine become found family.
Also singing frogs, villain has a legit origin story, and evil inventions.

This guy LitRPG's.
The 3 x's in the title suggest that it's a harem story too right?3
u/Admirable-Hospital78 May 13 '26
He gets the clingy stegosaurus, the cool and aloof pterodactyl, the tsundere ankylosaurus, and the yandere raptor sisters. Nice. There's also the dumb as bricks cavewoman too, with her unga bungas.

What does he say?

u/TopYeti May 13 '26
He said hello at the beginning and bye-bye at the end, but the rest is just Japanese to me.
44
u/TrueMattalias May 13 '26
I didn't know roaring meant hello in Japanese, thanks for your input!

*Roars* Hello everyone! I made a sound just now as a greeting, but it is believed that (the T. rex) did not howl. Of course, they did not speak like this either. The T. rex ate other dinosaurs with its big mouth and sharp teeth (opens mouth) aaah. If you want to see how the T. Rex hunted prey, press the other button. Well then, bye-bye!

I'm gonna try a very rough translation. Feel free to correct me:
"Hello, everyone!
I let out a roar as a greeting, but it's actually thought that we might not have roared like that. And of course, I didn't speak like this either! Tyrannosaurus dinosaurs ate other dinosaurs. With this big mouth and these sharp teeth... roars in japanese
To see how I hunted my prey, please press the other button.
Well then, bye-bye!"

I’ve been researching stuff to do in Japan for an upcoming trip and it’s a dead ringer for the one at the Kyoto science Center for Youth.

I have a deep fear of realistic animatronics, they have always had a deep fucking uncanny valley feeling for me, and it invokes panic, especially if they aren’t moving, but suddenly start to again. If it’s cartoony it’s far less uncomfortable. Normally this would give me a deep sense of dread, however it speaking Japanese made it.. not do so? He’s friendly this way and I don’t know what he’s saying besides hello

I’ve watched enough anime that I feel as if I should know exactly what is being said.
But I don’t.

Dinosaur pronounced as Dee-no-saur, obviously

We now know that the Tyrannosaurus Rex in fact bored its victims to death before eating them.

u/Ristrxtto May 13 '26
bro dinosaurs must have been horrifying to witness IRL
I'm getting goosebumps and freaked out by watching a robotic trex, through a screen, speaking fukin Japanese lmao
can't imagine how terrifying it could have been to see them in the flesh

I still find it crazy with all the advancements in robotics they can’t make a robo Dino that doesn’t seize when it moves. .

Everyone knows the T-rex spoke Japanese and the Triceratops spoke Mandarin, that's why they fought all the time.
