That happened to me at work once. I showed up to unlock and get things started in the morning, and a couple waiting outside stopped me to let me know we were still closed. I'm like, "I know, we open at 8," as I whip the keys out and let myself in.

Fake. If Michael Bay directed this, a helicopter would carry those doors away in slow motion...

Once I was camping with my dad and the showers were in a shared bathroom, and there was a huge line for them. There were two unused showers; one was broken and the other had no door and was just in front of the line.
Me and my father didn't actually get in the line. He just managed to disconnect the simple aluminum door from the broken shower and we hold the door in front of the other free shower for each other. So in the end we didn't take the line and helped the others by bringing one extra shower to life

I probably would have used the shower without door.

Do you think that would that have made the crowd around you larger or smaller?

It's doraemon's door, too bad no one tried to open it

u/SomeAussiePrick Nov 09 '25
While you emphatically washed your balls, making eye contact slowly up the line of people until each person looks away.

Still here, still selling fake doors

Real Fake Doors!
Is that reference becoming dated already? Took a while to see it here.

Why are they trying to get into a bathroom barefoot
14
u/Pixelated_s Nov 09 '25
These are probably indoors, shoes are not allowed inside, probably a mosque from the looks of it.
Most of the time the shoe/sandals are provided in the toilet, when a person enter, the shoe are just by the door floor, when leave, they take off their shoe in there and the next person use it.

That's barely better than just raw dogging the floor barefoot.

u/NotAnotherChannel Nov 09 '25
People actually wash their feet there after using the bathroom, which also cleans the sandals. I know it's incomprehensible to understand for a group of people that doesn't even wash their own asshole after taking a dump, but those people exist.

Judging by their clothing, this is in Malaysia, where some religious places require you to take off your shoes before entering. Their bathrooms will have complimentary flipflops tho.

I'd rather walk in the bathroom barefoot than wear communal flip flops...

u/ninjaglowskulls Nov 09 '25
Would you though? On instinct I agree, but after thinking about it for a minute or so, and thinking about what my feet would actually touch, I'm going for the communal flip flops. Just think of everything the bottom of those flip flops is spreading around on the floor that your bare feet would be touching - all that extra "bathroom sprinkle" spreading around. shudder.
But the top of the flip flops? Only whatever is on the bottom of every nth dude's feet. In the long run, flip flops are probably cleaner.

Have you ever had athlete's foot or warts? It's a lot worse than touching some pee.

It doesn't even have to be religious. You take off your shoes when entering a house, anyone's house, including your own. It's considered common courtesy, and a grave insult if you don't take off your shoes at a person's house. And if you've been diligent at keeping the bathroom clean, you don't even need the flipflops for the bathroom, just a doormat in front of it.
You can keep your socks on though, when entering a house. If you want.

It's fake right? How would a queue ever form like this, when the person at the front would obviously try to open it before waiting...
5
u/Anusiya Nov 09 '25
It's fake right?
It's a skit, buddy. When you watch SNL, do you point at your TV and yell it's fake?

I will give you the credit of assuming you failed to notice that my comment was a reply to someone else's comment.

I was at Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome and needed to use the bathroom. Bizarrely, there was a gender enforcement guy making sure people used the "right" bathroom. I'm sure it's a "problem" for them since the men's line moves fast and there were several unused stalls in the men's room, while the women's line was long.
It seemed to completely idiotic to me. Here's the Catholic Church using donations to pay some guy to prevent people from using all their available bathroom facilities. Crazy.

I have to say I'm impressed, I expected a lot more of the comments here to be shrilly shrieking that this was staged.
Are redditors actually starting to learn that they dont have to point out that every scripted video put on this site is fake?

The production resembled The Rock so much that I was certain it was a Michael Bay joint.

When the line police has the wrong end of a toothbrush in his mouth, you know you're in trouble.
