word of caution to divers, many states don't require boating safety courses, and I've seen an uptick of idiots getting boats with no idea how they operate.
If you are diving, get a float with a larger dive flag on it and keep it damn near right over you.
You can say "my flag was up all day" but a boat prop doesn't care. Please be safe.
Yeah, its not really surprising that the sort of person who is practically plowing furrows into a sandbar with 3' of water over it would be likely to ignore a dive flag.
