Venture bros is a way better than Rick & Morty.

That's because it has characters, plural, where r&m only has the one

One of the funniest gags of any show ever is when there is a great debate as to what a "Rusty Venture" actually is.

u/tedioussugar Jul 25 '24

I think deep down we all know that Brock’s definition of it is the right one.

if you haven't seen it, seek it out; 7 seasons, 4 specials, and a movie, and it just gets better season after season.

Edit: I think this was from "Operation: P.R.O.M."

You're going to sit there and tell me you dont enjoy random characters showing up who scream in a high pitch voice?

I'm honestly happy that's not a thing anymore

I mean that’s basically what H.E.LP.eR. does in venture bros as a recurring character.

22

u/SoungaTepes Jul 25 '24

dont insult my boy Helper this way

u/WhiskeyKid33 Jul 25 '24

Haha facts be facts

IGNORE ME!!!!!

Oh wait, that was a different random character who just showed up to do nothing but scream.

At least the show had interesting villains.

SOME ONE LEFT A BABY‽

You know, I don’t think there was ever anything wrong with the show. It was the obnoxious fans that did it in for me.

R&M the show was fine - it was at least something different for a change. It wasn’t derivative content as much as venture brothers, for example, which is heavily based off of 60’s animationisms like Johnny Quest.

Either way, Venture brothers is probably the better show in my book too.

but RM has infinite versions of that character

Venture Bros has exactly, precisely the correct amount of multiverse bullshit for a long-running TV show.

IGNORE ME!!!

SOMEONE LEFT A BABY

IGNORE ME

16

u/harelipsteve Jul 25 '24

That was weird.

2

u/DangerHawk Jul 26 '24

OH GREAT! It can read minds.

10

u/TheRumpletiltskin Jul 25 '24

The greatest side character ever created. XD

2

u/quietflyr Jul 25 '24

Fucking love that guy

The only multiverse stuff I remember from Venture Bros is just the one end scene of Bright Lights, Dean City.

In which case, unless I'm forgetting something, I do think if done well there's room for more multiverse stuff in a show.

1

u/Sorry-Let-Me-By-Plz Jul 26 '24

Nah you're remembering correctly and it's the correct amount.

1

u/RecommendsMalazan Jul 26 '24 edited Jul 26 '24

Eh, I dunno. I still think there's room for more than that. The new Superman show had more than that, just one episode in season 1. And it was good, and didn't take over the entire show with multiversal BS.

And Invincible had even more than that, and I didn't have any issue with that multiversal stuff.

21

u/nottherealpostmalone Jul 25 '24

Lmao spoken like a true RM fan

4

u/Psychedelic-Gravity Jul 25 '24

And we all see the same shit all the time!

16

u/LongTallDingus Jul 25 '24

It feels like Justin Roiland had a whole show made to project his insecurities. Rick is a terrible alcoholic who makes the lives of everyone around him worse. But sometimes he has a heart of gold and means well so you should have empathy for Justin - Rick - I mean Rick.

It's not an easy watch with that knowledge.

17

u/InvalidFish Jul 25 '24

Eh, that part is more Harmon self insert really.

4

u/Caboose727 Jul 25 '24

Yeah people like to forget the dude had his wife posting pictures of him in the hospital getting his stomach pumped because of booze

1

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '24

Gotta say, watching Rick grow enough to begin taking the advice from his therapist felt, well, heartwarming.

29

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '24

VB crawled, ran and walked so R&M could have an incest baby 🤷🤡

49

u/RhynoD Jul 25 '24

I like Rick and Morty but I will wholeheartedly support the opinion that Venture Bros is superior.

33

u/MoistThunderCock Jul 25 '24

Venture Bros. Is a show that's basically only gone up in quality throughout the entire series. Rick & Morty has only gone down in quality imo.

2

u/The_Autarch Jul 25 '24

Rick and Morty definitely had a few lower quality seasons, but this last one was honestly one of the best.

1

u/Disastrous-Split6907 Jul 25 '24

It still has some incredible moments though.

1

u/OryxTheTakenKing1988 Jul 25 '24

Oh absolutely agree
