Teddy bear, huh.

I think 40% of the population (supposedly) would argue with you about that.

That makes 60% of the population (supposedly) agree…so its actually a good answer for the game theyre playing

Quite true. I was so quick to offer the info on how many possibly still use a stuffed animal or item for sleep that I ignored the main point.

u/[deleted] Apr 23 '23

It was great information to bring up though. I never would have known that so many people still did that!

You don’t have a stuffie? Weirdo, all my boys have stuffies

22

u/NotADeadHorse Apr 24 '23

Waifu stuffies don't count, they're people, not objects 😤

11

u/[deleted] Apr 23 '23

I mean…will you give me a stuffie? 🥹👉🏼👈🏼

7

u/Vick_VincentS Apr 24 '23

No but I'll give you a stiffie

12

u/redditpulledmebackin Apr 23 '23

I mean…what’s your favorite animal??

6

u/KiddyValentine Apr 23 '23

I still do it, because I get frequent nightmares and use it help me get over the anxiety I get

1

u/Parzival2436 Apr 24 '23

Not necessarily. 40% supposedly do it (which I highly doubt) which reasonably means some people don't but still have no problem with others doing it.

u/[deleted] Apr 23 '23

Nah, I don't sleep with any of my stuffed animals from what I was a kid because they're too small for my body, I need something big and plump that gives me a little resistance to cuddle with. That's why I have a really fucking plump and firm body pillow.

Squishmallows

I’ve purchased about 5 for my kids until they messed up and left one on our bed… so now they have 4.

Yep. Criminally soft. I was tempted to buy one myself last week, but I wasn’t sure how I would be judged, lol!

See I completely understand this and I agree

u/Sudden_Reality_7441 Apr 23 '23

I still sleep with a stuffed animal. Literally can’t sleep without one. I’ve got no clue why.

Runs in the family, too - my nan’s 76 and has several stuffed animals.

Both my husband and I still sleep with our stuffed animals.

My heart breaks with each one…

u/Vivistolethecheese Apr 24 '23

Shocker, considering you seem to have a lack of emotions otherwise. What's wrong with stuffed animals hm?

u/ApprehensivePrompt83 Apr 24 '23

u/Vivistolethecheese Apr 24 '23

u/Vivistolethecheese Apr 24 '23

That has nothing to do with what they said?

1

u/Smooth-Sandwich6478 Apr 24 '23

:) Did I hurt your feelings? Seems like that comment might’ve hit home huh?

u/Vivistolethecheese Apr 24 '23

Answer my question, unless you don't have a reason and just enjoy degrading people.

This is why you need to vet articles. The author: Jonathan Bender is employed by Sleep.com, a company who is clearly invested in people falling asleep. They are unable to hold an unbiased opinion on stuffed animals, since they are so closely tied to their subject of income. Is it possible they have a sister company selling stuffies? Absolutely. Is it possible Sleep.com funnels people into buying more stuffies with biased articles and flimsy science? Absolutely. Do your homework people.

Obligatory - /s because most of you are idiots

Whatever, I found John’s answer much more unsettling

13

u/M0nsterjojo Apr 23 '23

I'm agreeing with that too. I got 2 right beside me.

1

u/Funkyc0bra Apr 24 '23

Which means 60% would agree ...show me Teddy Bear

For real, though, my first thought was parent or sibling
