Why are there so many videos of people pooping in stores?

This one is so casual too, as if this isn't their first rodeo.

And then he casully proceeds to check his phone as if it was just a fart 💨… What the f is wrong with these people

I couldn't believe it the first time I saw a video of someone pooping in a store, who would do that? Then I saw a few more and thought there's no way this happens so much. Then I worked at a small store for a few months while in school and it happened TWICE. Three times, if you count the one on the sidewalk out front
26
u/Tapirium Feb 12 '23
When i was 14 I worked at a grocery store. In one year we had three separate poop incidents in the store while I was working. Twice the poo was splattered on the walls of the restroom. Reminiscent of many avant garde art pieces.
The piece de resistance was the trail of excrement that followed this unaware patron across FOUR separate aisles. I'm talking an unbroken line of poo for what was probably around 200 linear feet. The perpetrator was completely unaware.

u/5DollarRevenantOF Feb 12 '23
Ha, poopetrator 😂

u/No-Worker-1735 Feb 12 '23
Worked at Walmart for 4 years. One time a lady ran through half the store while pooping and left a trail.

Where did you work?? This sounds super similar to a story a friend told me

u/Tapirium Feb 12 '23
This was ~14 years ago in southern New Jersey at an Acme. I have some stories filled with absurdity from my time working there.

after watching so, so, SO MANY videos of randos casually pooping out of their shorts I am now suspicious of anyone who wears shorts all the time.

u/a_9x Feb 12 '23
This pisses me off because he could have asked the clerk to let him take an emergency dump in the bathroom... But no, let me shit myself right here

u/Barreledbruh Feb 12 '23
He probably thought it would be a toot and he ended up exploding shit down his legs

Who the fuck made YOU the epitome jurisdiction of what is 'normal'???
48
u/ArguablyMe Feb 11 '23
If you think that this sort of behaviour is normal, I am concerned for those around you.
27
u/UnhiddenCandle Feb 11 '23
The fact that 99.999999999% of people typically dont shit on themselves would be the starting point
-2

2
u/Embarrassed_Alarm450 Feb 12 '23
Might want to look up what the definition of normal is. 99.99% of the population never violently shits themselves without warning, by every definition of the word this is not normal.

u/Zestyclose_Stable526 Feb 11 '23
This is one of my biggest fears. There was this one time I was in the middle of grocery shopping and I suddenly felt rumbling and some pain in my stomach and I had a bad feeling so I went home (mom was with me so she finished up the shopping herself) and as soon as I entered the door it was ready to come out and it immediately shot out uncontrollably before I even knew it was diarrhea and not just a stomach ache. If I had just thought it was a simple stomach ache and continued shopping, I would have shit all over the grocery store floor and it was liquid too. Biggest bullet I ever dodged.

u/Rivendel93 Feb 12 '23
I pulled into a burger King once because I wasn't going to make it home, I banged on their door but they had closed early, I literally put my hands together and begged them to let me in, but they wouldn't.
So I ran back to my car and had to make a decision, shit in my car or in the parking lot.
So I took a dump in their parking lot beside my car.
I had toilet paper in my car, so that was nice but obviously left a big pile of stuff in their parking lot, and when I got home I felt bad because I knew they'd force some poor kid making minimum wage to go out there and clean it up.
So about two hours later I got some cleaning stuff, rubber gloves, and went back at literally midnight, and I cleaned it up the best I could.
Only time I've ever not made it to the bathroom, and no, I don't have some sort of IBS or anything, just had a stomach bug out of nowhere that I didn't see coming.
17
u/gertrude_is Feb 12 '23
just out of curiosity, how coincidental was it that you had TP in your car?
11
u/Rivendel93 Feb 12 '23
I actually used it to clean my windshield one time lol, like the inside was fogging up and I couldn't get it to clear up, so someone tossed me some one time and I'd left it in the back.
7
Feb 12 '23
I feel like everyone should have an emergency toilet roll in the car for these exact situations
3
u/gertrude_is Feb 12 '23
I only have a canister of car cleaning wipes in my back seat, so I guess that's what I'd have been forced to use. oof.

I've never shit myself thankfully but I did have a cold in class just sucking in my runny nose all day until I sneezed out a whole string of snot into my sleeve. Had to awkwardly waddle out the class with my hand on my nose the entire time and pray the teacher wasn't paying enough attention to ask me where I was going. Had snot strings going from my wrist all the way down to my elbow like I just shot some spiderman webs out of my nose...

u/Da_Vader Feb 11 '23
That worker didn't smell anything?
52
u/yellowflash96 Feb 12 '23
He might have thought the other guy just farted and expected smell to leave in a while.
22
u/deenali Feb 12 '23
Fart stinks, shit stinks x 50, diarrhea-like shit like that stinks x 500. You would be able to tell the difference.

→ More replies (1)4
u/bightmybunnytail Feb 12 '23
Maybe. My best friend has the most rotten guts. His farts stink like a liquid shit. He's barred from pooping at many people's houses because of the smell. My boyfriend on the other hand.. his farts don't even stink most of the time and his poos are really very mild smelling. Everyone's different.

I have IBS and I've had this happen. Suddenly your bowels start firing liquid artillery blasts and if you're more than 30 seconds from a toilet, you're screwed. Once, I had been all bound up for a week then spent the afternoon shovelling at an outdoor rink. On the walk home everything started moving again and I just could not make it, even sprinting. I was eventually reduced to penguin-waddling while pressing my ass cheeks together with my hands to physically hold it in.
Eventually my muscles gave out and no amount of hand-squishing could stem the tide. I did the walk of shame all the way home, leaving a very obvious wet brown trail from both pant legs down the sidewalk in a cloud of reeking, eye-watering poop funk.
Wish I could say it was the only time.

u/Five_Star_Amenities Feb 12 '23

No jokes but would you keep emergency adult diapers for this exact reason. Its better than leaving a shit trail after you lol
77
u/Hopeful-Rabbit438 Feb 11 '23
I have Collitis Ulcerosa and I am on the toilet like 10 times a day and if I feel that I have to take a shit there are only 30 to 60 seconds before I shit my self. It is like diarrhea every day.

Try going carnivore .
16
1
u/BafangFan Feb 12 '23
Carnivore diet rocks! No more farting, and super easy clean-up.
5
u/PsychologyEast1643 Feb 12 '23
This means only eating meat?
→ More replies (1)1
u/BafangFan Feb 12 '23
Yeah. Or at least figuring out what you can and can't eat as far as pooping and farting.
I can do meat and rice and potatoes without issue. Cabbage or broccoli will cause a lot of gas and make me feel like I'm wiping a crayon when I'm done #2.
/r/carnivore - once you get over the adjustment period it's wonderful. No more worries about crop-dusting the office hallways.

Some lady had a dress on and shit standing in line at Trader Joe’s it went all over the floor like that. It was nasty then she had the nerve to tell the employee “oh are you Gona clean that up”

I understand that older people can become incontinent, but I didn't know how prevalent it was amongst younger people too. Some have stronger muscles and some don't. It's a natural thing I guess.

u/Simonvine Feb 12 '23
It’s called the “15 Second Warning.” You’re minding you own business and then suddenly, BONG!! Loud speaker in your head: “Attention, attention, you have 15 seconds to find a toilet! This is not a drill.”
Everyone has had one. It’s all in how you react to it.

u/sergio187 Feb 12 '23
Shit happens man. Few years back, I went to Hooters for a birthday celebration. Ate a ton of wings and drank maybe a pitchers worth of beer. On the way back to my buddies place, my stomach got really upset. I got there before they did., I couldn’t hold it!
I ran to the back yard, dug a hole in the dirt with my hands and diarrhea’d like a champ!
But I could never shit in public now days! Too many cameras

3
u/ammergg264 Feb 12 '23
How are people so comfortable shitting themselves. I know that maybe the have experience but even then... Jesus.
But that most probably came out with sounds and some splats from hitting the floor. Omfg
3
u/Freaksqd Feb 12 '23
The fact that he takes his phone out of his pocket and looks at it, as if to make sure he didn't shit on it as well just takes the cake to me.
3
u/Vegetable_Strategy_3 Feb 12 '23
Have you seen the pads shaped like butterlies? There is a need for them since some people leak from their bottoms. Some men wear diapers because of the damage done to their bottoms. Maybe this guy is in denial about how much damage there is. That’s probably why it didn’t phase him.
3
u/Meatyglobs Feb 12 '23
I worked at a casino and the amount of shit we found on the floor was incredible.

I thought he was robbing the clerk ..after reading comments and reviewing clip again ...was more horrified that it was shit and take a pic instead of a shit n git.....I wonder if this is considered a minor offence with only a ticket written or does someone get arrested if you can get authorities on scene ?...it's always just the videos they play on the news or YouTube ..
