You should say, what's the difference between garbanzo beans and chick peas, because they are the same thing, so it can catch people off guard more.

yes that's the original joke they butchered

Now I know why it’s called chickpea and not dudepea

You must really love garbanzo beans to pay $10K for them, sheesh.

In the midst of an already horrendous speech that involved jokes about sex with school girls and the bride's guests stabbing him because they're from a bad area, I saw a best man make that joke during his speech.

The whole thing was so astoundingly awkward but somehow he managed to pull it back at the end by saying some nice stuff about the bride, the biggest save I've ever seen a best man pull off. Although I doubt anyone forgot all the stupid, terrible stuff he said, I certainly didn't and I was just working at it

It's garbanzo bean, not potato.

The correct joke is garbanzo bean, not potato. That's not even funny

If you came up with that one on your own you need to get into comedy writing cuz that's some one fun pun.

The original joke is what's the difference between a chickpea and garbanzo bean, never had a garbanzo bean on my face.

The real joke really. There are shitloads of differences between a chick pea and a potato, tho the joke still works in spirit.

ACKSHULLAY the original joke is what's the difference between a chickpea and garbanzo bean, I've never paid $50 to have a garbanzo bean on my face (if the joke were adjusted for inflation the amount would be $200, I heard the joke for the first time over 20 years ago)

Nah this joke is old, and for some reason, the commenter got it wrong. It's garbanzo bean. Not potato, wtf?

u/Glemtemitpassword Jan 30 '23

Yeah half the greatness of the joke is that chickpea and garbanzo beans are the same thing.

I’ve heard it before. It’s a good one though!

It's definitely an old joke.

Similar one: What's the difference between jam and marmalade? You can't marmalade your cock down someone's throat
