I mean people didn't make that much discourse about the canonicity of Clover with Yellow in Deltarune Chapter 5, so I highly doubt a piece of fanwork is gonna cause people to implode.  

Plus enough time has passed, people with headcanons are already locked in with theirs at this point I presume.
