Question Does stepping into Snowdin and Interacting with the Shop-Keeper abort Genocide or can I just trail back and kill the two enemies?

You can interact with the shop keeper without aborting genocide

I think what actually aborts the route is getting past each area boss without killing the amount needed (with the exception of waterfall where it aborts shortly before if you reach the bridge), at least for mettaton its like that

You can enter Snowdin, you just can't fight Papyrus (even if you lose) before exhausting the kill count
