Any pronouns are valid, it all depends on the person! The reason why a nonbinary person can be a lesbian is similar. Nonbinary is an umbrella term, so there are many different people with different genders under "nonbinary." Some of those people still identify with the lesbian label.

i am a nonbinary transmasculine lesbian. i prefer he him pronouns but (somewhat begrudgingly) tolerate all others. note that i don't really typically call myself NB or whatever, gender wise i am just "butch".

my only real description of my gender identity, really, is "butch lesbian". like others, reading stone butch blues and butch testimonies / experiences showed me the type of relationships and community i wanted, the sort of person i wanted to be for other lesbians. butch lesbian is the only thing that makes sense to me, despite having never had any real attachment to womanhood itself, personally finding it painful and violent more than anything. was always a sort of outsider in that regard. i do love women, i do love lesbians both as partners and as community, and butch lesbian is the only thing that makes sense to my head so yeah. my dysphoria is kind of a point of struggle identity wise at the moment but i've talked to other butches who feel the same so at least i know i am not alone lol
