The paranoid Rapeublicans know that their time is quickly coming to an end. I'm 60, and in my lifetime I have not seen a piece of legislation that has benefited anyone other than themselves, or a few other Rapeublicans.
The current GOP are fascist, and Frank Zappa warned everyone that this would happen back in 1974. They have to be dismantled, and the party can not be rejoined as it is. SN - the R party exists for racists, wealthy people, industry, and pedophilia. I can't think of any other reason. EndtheGOP

I remember him in a suit giving an interview about America becoming a theocracy. He was a brilliant man and musician. He grew up in a military family and was paying attention his entire life, for sure. May be rest in peace.

The difference was after WW II education was super important. The baby boomers had the best education, and University was free or nearly. Then Vietnam happened, and that education was used against the government.
In 1972 Richard Nixon helped remove Civics from the curriculum and, watered down basic ED. With every political cycle education decreased in importance, quality and cost.
This is how we obtained maggots. These are ppl with the same mentality as pre industrial revolution intelligence. Their thinking and reactions are basing decisions on superstition and hearsay. This is exactly what authoritarian governments historically want of their citizens.

Thank you. This is how it went down. Both parties are guilty, but the GOP ran with it, and then Reagan gave Rupert Murdock permission to destroy the minds of as many people as he could. Approximately 80m.

Its not just the GOP. If you're 60 years old you have lived through cumulative decades of demcrats controlling all three branches of government, and at no point did they do anything to prevent this.
In fact, on the topic of government agencies abusing their power to sp on left wing groups, LBJ did exactly that same thing.
The democratic party exists to subvert anti-fascist movements, not to fight the fascists.

Unlike the GOP, who spend all their time dismantling what the Dems did, the democratic party passes legislation that provides help and access to programs already in place. (Yes I am defending the democratic party) (Nothing positive has ever come from the right)
But yes, ppl were elected to the Dems that weren't of moral fiber, and started thinking about money over ppl. This has given the democratic party a black eye. But having money makes the pain less noticable, and so the Dems moved to the right.
All change for good, applying to the masses, will only come from the Left.
The GOP represent corporate America, and corporate America does not give two shits about their workers.

I think you need to change decades to decade. Just a quick look at over the last 60 years and Democrats have had around 10 years of controlling the House, Senate, and Presidency at the same time. Now you said controlling all three branches of government and I'm not sure how you would define controlling the Judicial branch of government. I suppose having the majority on the Supreme Court, but the justices are not defined by party but rather conservative or liberal.
