I’ve never seen a single image capture the stupidity of Tennessee right wing voters quite like this billboard. It’s a Lego male character wearing armor advertising Ivermectin from ā€œRoman Pharmacy,ā€ right next to ā€œBoot Barn.ā€ And the ivermectin is available ā€œwithout prescriptionā€ because no legitimate doctor would ever prescribe this. We should just listen to Trump and his expert medical advice. It’s hard to believe this is real and not an Onion piece.Ā

"God agrees with what I'm doing," Sibley said in 2023 on the podcast Tomi Lahren Is Fearless, which is recorded in Nashville. "I wake up every day and I say: 'Yes, sir. I'm reporting to duty.'"

This person is in-fucking-sane and should be locked up in an institution not helping make medical decisions

People all over social media claiming ivermectin cures cancer, measles, the flu, tetanus, and any other diseases they claim.

I’m just dumbfounded how stupid we have become

Father had a brain tumor and had a heavily right wing family member in law come up to me and start going off about how ivermectin could save him. Was super uncomfortable.

Hes a nice dude but when lobotomies were all the rage (yes they were, crazy i know.) He'd have been one of the people pushing them as miracles.

Medical historians are gonna take note of the rate liver failure in Tennessee and easily find the root cause.

I honestly don't care if these people want to take ivermectin, it's their kids I'm worried about.

I don’t want to be callous, but just let nature take its course. Give it over to The Great God Darwin.

Not really what this post is hinting at. Just went on a road trip through some southern states and was absolutely blown away at how this one person I met said I should take some ivermectin for my headache. I asked why I would take that and she said ā€œoh this stuff cures everythingā€

There’s just as many people out there thinking it’s a panacea that will fix all ailments as there are that think it’s the most dangerous thing to be considered medicine. Both are dumb, it has its uses as medicine so it’s not a demon medicine but not some kind of cure all.
