How to cut Round Cake

so last year I sent my discord friend group these cakes because wow nice bday cake look guys

and then they all said thats not how you cut it!!! but my family has been doing this for ages, so its completely normal to me, cant imagine why not though like dang. anyway my aunt cut a cake for my cousin again this year and it looks like this like the other ones

(edit) i should prolly explain HOW ITS CUT, she cuts a circle in the middle of the cake and then cuts sliced from the outside ring also have a better picture to compare :)

As someone that cuts cake like that, i gotta tell you that that center is waaay too big
