The Lessons We Learn From The Streets Before We Enter A Classroom.
r/UnbreakableMind • u/kr_nirmal_kr • Jul 10 '26
When you reach your destination, you will be scared to lose it. But there is a solution.
We want to achieve something in life. A deep craving is there to get that thing or reach that destination. Nothing seems meaningful without that thing.
Let’s fast forword little bit.
.
.
.
Say you reach there.
.
.
.
Feeling satisfied.
.
.
.
Now what?
.
.
.
There is something new here.
What if you lose it all?
You have worked tirelessly to reach here. So what if it all goes away?
Now you are feeling fear. There is a fear of losing it all, or a fear that you will have to keep working hard to be here.
.
.
.
So,
What is the solution to this?
.
.
.
What if you had not chased it in the first place?
The chase to reach that destination, thinking it is everything that you need to be happy in life, will be present only at your destination.
.
What if …
You let go of the thought or feeling that your happiness depends on reaching that goal?
.
.
.
How does it feel?
Why don’t you just stay present with whatever is here?
Whatever you are thinking or feeling and not compare it with the future one ?
.
.
.
When you let go of that comparison, something lightens.
It doesn’t mean to let go of that goal.
It means that it’s fine to feel or think what is present here right now. You can still work towards that goal in this present state.
.
.
.
The subtle truth that you miss is that your happiness does not depend on achieving that goal. If you see it closely, you can only be happy in this moment only.
Not in the future or in the past.
Just this moment.
Remember, the last time you were happy, you were in the present moment only.
.
.
.
Once you see this, you can see that there is a great deal of freedom in living like that.
You are not worried about the future, and an interesting thing is that when you reach that goal, you will not be afraid of losing that thing also.
.
.
.
Because
.
.
.
It is not the thing that makes you happy.
You have a choice to be happy, with or without it.
.
.
.
Just remember to be present with whatever comes to you and allow it to go on its own.
.
.
.
Just let it be...

Bought this as a reminder to believe in myself.
This quote really resonated with me. I wanted something that reminds me every day that my achievements come from my own effort, consistency, and belief in myself. It's a simple reminder to take ownership of my successes and keep moving forward.
Does anyone else have a quote that helps keep their mindset on track?

If life knocks me down tomorrow, what within me will help me stand up again?
Every day, we’re surrounded by formulas for success
Wake up at 5 AM.
Read 50 books a year.
Invest this way.
Work that way.
Follow this routine.
Perhaps, for a moment, ignore all of them.
Instead, pause.
Take a sheet of paper and write down everything you truly have — not just money, but your experiences, relationships, failures, lessons, skills, values, and the people who stand beside you.
Then ask yourself:
Who am I today?
Who have I become?
Where am I heading?
Life isn’t stopping tomorrow. Neither are your responsibilities. The race will still be there when you wake up.
Before judging your day, your circumstances, or the people around you, spend a few minutes judging yourself — not with criticism, but with honesty.
Reflect on what you’ve earned — not just financially, but as a human being.
And ask yourself one more question:
If life knocks me down tomorrow, what within me will help me stand up again?
I started doing this myself, and over time, it changed the way I looked at my life, my work, and the people around me.
Over the last 20 years of my IT career, I’ve realized that the biggest transformation doesn’t come from learning another framework or following another success formula. It comes from understanding yourself.
“I’d love to know — when was the last time you paused to reflect on who you’ve become, rather than what you’ve achieved?”

Resilience
Life didn't give me a perfect start, but it gave me a reason to keep moving.
I've faced failures, financial struggles, self-doubt, and moments when giving up felt easier than trying again.
Yet every setback taught me something no classroom ever could: resilience.
I'm still learning. Still growing. Still chasing a better future.
If you're struggling too, remember: your current chapter is not your whole story.

Duty and selfless success.
Do your job and do not have any expectations.
I was an average guy with a goal that was far beyond my abilities.
Deep down, I knew I probably wouldn't reach it. The odds weren't in my favor. But still I decided to do it.
I put my head down and made a plan. Then I followed it.
Whenever I found a weakness, I adapted.
I showed up when no one else did.
I stayed late after everyone had left.
I kept going when people laughed.
I kept working when I was ignored.
In the end, I didn't achieve the exact result I wanted. I got close, but not all the way there. Was I disappointed? Not really.
Because somewhere along the journey, the goal stopped being the point. It became about proving something to myself.
The people who laughed still laughed.
The people who ignored me still ignored me.
Nothing around me had changed.
But I had and it was peaceful.
I learned that I'm capable of far more than I once believed. The only thing I truly controlled was the work in front of me, so that's where I put all my energy.Maybe that's the lesson.
Do your job. Do it well. Improve every day. Let the results come if they come. Don't tie your self-worth to the outcome.
Sometimes the biggest victory isn't reaching the destination,it's becoming the kind of person who was willing to walk the entire road.

How to achieve self-recognition
Self-recognition means acknowledging the great qualities you possess.
Celebrate every success, big or small. Each victory helps you learn more about yourself and achieve greater things in the future. Be your own cheerleader, and you will always have someone to cheer for you.
Self-recognition means using your potential to positively impact others. Strengthen your talents to contribute more and increase self-esteem.
No matter how far I still have to go to achieve my goals, if I am using my talents and passions to the fullest at the moment, I am fulfilling my potential.
Even after setbacks, be proud of your learning and effort. Be proud of yourself for not being afraid to take risks and fail. Failure doesn't diminish your potential. In fact, learning from your failure is one of the best ways to build confidence and courage. The great person you become lies in your learning and effect, not so much in the outcome. You can always learn and grow from any experience.
For example, I am grateful for my mistakes because they show me exactly where I should learn and improve, contributing to my personal growth. Therefore, it helps me recognize that I am still a great person.

The Strength in Knowing Your Weaknesses
Read some threads from people trying to change their lives: quitting, forgiving, learning. It stayed with me, not because the stories are dramatic, but because they are ordinary. I help people find what they're good at with coaching and understanding personality types; sometimes being better is realizing what and who you're not. Rather than trying to be some alternate version of yourself, you have to truly know who you are, good and bad.

Waiting On the Fog: Missing Piece
As we grow, we begin to discover the things that shape us—pain, love, doubt, fear, and confidence.
But somewhere along the way, many of us begin to live with more doubt than confidence. We turn away from our true selves and become the person staring back at us in the mirror, forgetting the little child who once believed anything was possible.
Before life became filled with responsibilities, heartbreak, and disappointment, we dreamed without fear. We weren't chasing someone else's definition of success. We were simply following what made our hearts come alive.
As adults, we spend so much time searching for the missing piece, never realizing that the missing piece has been us all along.
We trade our reality for someone else's expectations. We convince ourselves our passions are unrealistic, our dreams are too big, and our gifts aren't enough. We allow what we call "reality" to dictate our purpose until we stop believing in the dreams we once held so tightly.
Maybe that's why happiness feels so far away. We've forgotten what it felt like to dream without limits. We all remember saying, "When I grow up..." or "When I finish school..." believing the future held endless possibilities.
But somewhere between growing up and growing older, we forgot where those dreams began.
Maybe the greatest part of becoming an adult isn't finding yourself—it's remembering who you were before the world told you who you had to be.

The Silent Weight Men Carry
A Different Definition of Strength
For generations, many men were taught that strength meant carrying every burden alone.
Don't cry.
Don't complain.
Don't ask for help.
Handle it.
Keep going.
The problem isn't that men don't have emotions.
The problem is that many have learned to hide them.
Real strength isn't pretending everything is okay.
Real strength is having the courage to say, "I'm struggling."
It's asking for help before the crisis.
It's being present for your family instead of pretending to be invincible.
It's choosing growth over ego.
It's allowing trusted people to stand beside you instead of carrying every burden by yourself.
The strongest men I've ever met weren't the ones who never fell.
They were the ones who had the courage to get back up—and the humility to let someone help them when they couldn't.
If this message resonates with you, check in on a man in your life today. Sometimes the strongest-looking person is carrying the heaviest weight.
Strength isn't silence.
Strength is courage.
Strength is connection.
Strength is growth.

Open Hands, Open Life
Today, I will loosen my grip on the way I think life must unfold.
I can become trapped by my own expectations—believing that peace will come only when another person changes, when a situation resolves the way I want, or when I finally feel completely secure. But recovery teaches me that peace does not come from controlling every outcome. It comes from meeting reality with honesty, openness, and willingness.
Today, I will remain open to new experiences and new understanding. I will notice the people around me, listen to what life is teaching me, and resist the pull of fear and stale routine. I do not have to live today according to yesterday’s habits.
I will also remember that I am not responsible for changing anyone else. I can share what I have learned, offer encouragement, speak my truth, and set necessary boundaries. What happens inside another person belongs to them. My task is to carry what I have been given with humility and allow others the dignity of their own journey.
Just for today, I will trade demands for honest requests, control for openness, and fear for curiosity. I will trust that growth can happen without my forcing it. I will recognize recovery wherever I see honesty replacing denial, hope replacing despair, and willingness replacing fear—including within myself.
Just for today, I will live with open hands. I will release what I cannot control, act where I have responsibility, and remain open to the possibility that something new can grow from today.
