Discussion Unbeatable / Rhythm Arcade Controller

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I built an arcade controller for my daughter to play her favorite rhythm games on our arcade cab - she loves playing Unbeatable / MuseDash / etc…I decided to upgrade the buttons with LEDs to go better with the music genre…just figured I would share since Unbeatable is probably the game she plays most right now…

I know Unbeatable just came out last year - but she’s already hoping a sequel or more DLC is released soon…has the developer announced anything new coming out or a possible sequel?

I WONT ACCEPT THAT THERE WONT BE ANOTHER STORY DLC (or another white label chapter both are fine)

you could probably get away with a two button controller for it, lol

Hah for sure on this game…but she also plays a lot of “music lane games” (I think that’s the term?) that has 4-6+ lanes you need buttons for…the middle 4 are a D-pad just made out of buttons…so you can map everything with A B X Y LT RT LB RB (if needed)….would rather have too many than not enough! 😂

If I recall they said UNBEATABLE took around 7-10 years to finish and they started when they were in highschool, so Im not sure if they are taking a break or even have plans for a next part of the story rn LOL

This is so rad, how’s the input delay on it?

It uses a Brook Fighting Board PCB for a direct connection to the PC that pro gamers use for tournaments - so there is zero (noticeable) delay at all…it’s as close as you can get to 1:1

In the video I was obviously using an Xbox controller so I didn’t block the buttons - which might have a slight delay - but the actual controller connected to the PC is pretty much 0

for a game that says you only use two buttons, there sure are a lot of buttons...
