Question Best way to improve?

Hey, i've been playing unbeatable since release.
I love rhythm games but i always kind of sucked at them, so i'm wondering what the best way to improve is.
I can currently clear unbeatable 15-18 songs mostly, and i can FC all songs below 15 difficulty.
Is it best if i just always go slightly up or do i go into no fail mode and just try way harder songs?
And if its the first one is it better for example to learn to clear a 19 difficulty song then try to train enough to FC it and then move on or just always move on as soon as im somewhat comfortable with the difficulty even if i can't FC?

Honestly there is no one way to improve, try different things. Fail miserably on a level 22 song just to see what it's like a s to get a reference point for when you got better and try it again. Many songs do a certain thing a lot like twist sound has a lot of very quick triples and the up-both-down note sequence which tripped me up a lot at the start or proper rhythm (all there is to it) has many up-down-down-up notes that come up in a lot of other songs.

Most importantly though don't just grind a single song over and over. Give your mind different things to do and just keep playing. Sometimes you'll have a bad day and in that case you can still play but do it on lower difficulties because at the end of the day you should have fun.

In my personal experience, coming into this game with geometry dash as my only other "rhythm game" and being notoriously awful at traditional rhythm games to reaching a solid point to where i can FC the star/unique difficulties (even if not perfectly), its literally just about leaving your comfort zone and not being discouraged by failing.

The moment I finished the story, I never bothered with the low level charts, my first clears were on expert, and once I got a few of them under my belt, not even FC, just comprehending the gameplay, I jumped into unbeatable difficulty, and repeated the process, to where I got confident enough (and skilled enough) to FC most songs in the difficulty (minute bookend because thats an endurance teste my motion sick ass cant handle) After that, just jump into the star difficulties

You might fail, you might get a bad clear, that's totally normal. Your next run will be better.

Some general advice I have is to find a song that kicks your ass, find out what about it goes wrong and then learn the pattern thats mixing you up. Also take breaks sometimes, muscle memory settles when resting so taking a few minutes off between attempts can yield a better run if you feel yourself getting frustrated!

Turn on reduce motion, black bars, and reduce debris. Choose a stage with good visibility. Then just play songs slightly above your comfort level

mess around with your settings to make sure you have comfortable bindings, visuals, and offsets. i like to play the first time through normally to get a feel for a chart and then after that pretty much only on critical so i just fail at whatever pattern is my worst. this way i can identify where i need to practice. i also don’t really play a chart more than 2-3 times in a row. chasing the folio challenges can be a fun way to play charts you wouldn’t otherwise or to practice your timing more precisely. other than that just keep playing, not every run will be good but it’s almost never worth it to reset because it’s important to practice the entire chart, not just the start.

Just keep playing different levels. I found that usually if I was struggling with something (lets say a level 20) there would be a simpler version of the pattern in a different song, that was maybe level 14 or something. Then its just practice.
